Why these new guys (Deepika, Ranbir, Shahrukh, Junior AB and so on) featuring on this? I think director forgot to give Indian dress to Deepika. That point of video is pathetic.

I think voice of many actors not required. There are many renowned singers in India. Shubha Mudgal is not seen anywhere.

I think Video should feature only those who at some point of time did something for India or Indian Gems. Abhinav Bindra is there for few seconds.

Anyway overall I liked this Video but it is too long to see complete. 5 - 8 minutes should be enough.

The new one was OK, you can say it was updated, but compared to the original its not even a speck. The old one was such a classic video, I often discussed it with friends even years after it stopped coming and we stopped watching doordarshan. The new one is just a publicity stunt, all the actors seem like hodge podge. Also Deepika Padhukone should wear an Indian dress in an Indian video.

the only part which worth a mention is salman's part .
amir khan's part was absolutely lame.
deepika looked and behaved like she was going for a calender shoot.

No cricketers;I admit. But atleast one should have been included i.e Sachin Tendulkar. There are celebrities in the video who are yet to prove their skills in their own fields. We admire Micheal Schumacher,Roger Federrer,David Beckham,Usian Bolt for records they make, (when even india doesnot even represent those sports properly)and you cannot include the one who represents the country where we are good at something? Comeon give me a break.

The rendition was not up to the point, and Deepika?,no need to speak about it.I remember Waheeda Rehman in saari in the original "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara".Some scenes were good and some just plain jane. There wont be many admirers since the old is worth more than gold.

My vote goes to the old vesion.
It is just amazing. One of the very few compositions which louches every INDIAN's heart.
The new version does not have the flow the original had.
Personally felt the new version is all mixed up and not inplace.

the original one is almost as good as a National Anthem of sorts
the new one is also good - at least it attempts to connect with all ages and segments of people.

Both versions do definitely inspire a severe attack of goosebumps even from a bit of a die hard non-sentimentalist like myself.

Somebody should have shown him the old one. He would have pulled out all stops to stop his creation from getting aired.
