Accommodation: A forest rest house with one suite and three tourist huts are available at Tadvai and ITDA guest house at Etunagaram.
A few weeks back I spoke to the range officer there and the DFO at Warangal and they didn't sound too positive about facilities Given their hesitation its best to not expect anything decent.

So

Saturday: Warangal, Laknavaram, Tadvai and Eturnagaram and back to Warangal (the Warangal-Eturnagarm sector should be about 100km one way)

Sunday: Pakhal and return to Hyderabad

Exciting new option. Spoke to DFO Wildlife Management at Kawal Wildlife sanctuary. He welcomes our visit. We would have to stay at Mancherial as there won't be place for so many people.

So if on Saturday we head straight to the sanctuary following lunch at Mancherial we can do the wildlife sighting and come back to Mancherial.

Next day morning we can again go in for wildlife sighting and return to Hyd

This should be a great trip.

I need to know how many people are interested so we can request them to make arrangements for stay in Mancherial in lodges or guesthouses

DKG, could you please enlighten us a bit more on teh species that inhabit the Kawal Wild Life Sanctuary.

Sorry just checked at http://www.surfindia.com/travel/andh...-adilabad.html
and there's some good fauna in the WLS. I'm definitely interested but will only be able to confirm later on in the evening once wifey's back from office.

Cheers

Added to this, we can also do:

Jannaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Forest
Kunthala water falls
PRanahita Wild Life Sanctuary (Main City of the Sanctuary is Mancherial you can visit the sanctuary from Nov to April)

Found these on Wikipedia (Mancherial - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Sounds great Deepak. Would love to be a part of it. Can I have a Room/Cottage/Guesthouse or something to rest?

Do we have some time to confirm this?

Hello friends,
We planned for 2 day outing. Due to sudden tragic news we can not go to planned place. But still DKG is trying out another options like Jannaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Forest , Kunthala water falls , PRanahita Wild Life Sanctuary. If accomodation can be arragned then these are also very good alternatives. I googled these places and found very good images of birds and wild animals.

I will confirm tommorow afternoon about new option.

Thanks a lot to DKG for trying his best to alternative arrrangements for "2 day outing" !

We have just 1 day for the Forest Run, so lets keep this thread alive with our ideas and finalize the whole thing ASAP, so that Deepak can help us out and book the accomodation and etc for us.

Deepak is taking real pains to make sure that this thing happens. Kudos to Deepak and everyone here, who are actively participating in this.

I spoke to some forest officials and they recommend visiting Kawal. I believe its denser than Srisailam and a better option overall as compared to Eturnagaram from a visitor's point of view

We need to build a tally on how many people are game for this so we plan for accommodation

If we take NH7 up then we can stay at Nirmal. Alternatively if we head up the Siddipet-Karimnagar road then we stay at Mancherial

Nirmal should have better stay options. Will check Wikimapia for distances and post shortly

Jannaram via NH7 will be 275 kms. There is a guest house at Kadam Dam about 30 kms from Jannaram and at Jannaram there's a forest guest house. So we need to try to get a booking at the Kadam Guest house. Lets see how many people sign up and then we'll try to finalise the stay options by tomorrow evening. In a worst case scenario we have hotels at Nirmal an hours drive away from the sanctuary
