Default What hike did I get this year??

Hey folks
Its "that"time of the year, when all await the day of the month when they are called for a "short(supposed to be) meeting" to get THE letter they want all year round- the hike letter!
The hikes are being announced and rolled out , some are happy, some are disappointed with probably more in the latter category than the former( or maybe not this time around!!)
Would like guys to post, if they are comfortable, the hikes that they got in %. I know we are supposed to keep mum on this in the office, but we all know that news runs around fast, esp if someone got more than the others!!!
We need not state the company we work for, just a moment to share your joy or maybe your disappointment
Let me start with me- we got another single digit hike, better than last year which was zippo but nothing great, average is about 5-6% only and me below average :(

Appraisals happen at different times in different companies. We get it normally in Jan and July. On an average the hike was about 10% at mid to senior positions in the last hike.

We got 15% sals cut last year, the good news is its back. But if you ask me what is your net hike between 2009 march and 2010 march, I would say 0%

Angry

For an Oil and Gas company the avg hikes in our company has been 8% but between 6 to 12%. The effect of this hike has been so much that the day employees got their papers 9 employees put in their papers on day 1 and 6 on day 2.

I am in Automation industry - and we are (yet again) getting single digit hike.
Last year we got it for global recession (though Indian business worked pretty well).
This year we got it for lack of projects (= recession in our industry in India).

What bullscat!

And I don't believe in keeping mum about this or compensation details. Why should anyone?

Net hike between Nov 2008 and Mar 2010 is -15%
You read it right, 20% salary was cut in Nov '08 (was later called salary restructuring) and was given a 5% hike in Mar '10.

THAT is harsh!!!! added to it fuel price hikes, only the FM tax slab adjustment will give some relief. Is it not causing any attrition? What industry is this? Since you are in BLR, can assume IT?

Yup in IT.
The company already had attrition issues, and has gone from a strength of 350+ to 150 in the recent year and a half! Have given a couple of interviews and keeping my fingers crossed.

Our salary hike was last month and the overall range was 20-40%, which is pretty generous for these times. Guess the recession is slowly being left behind. I got a 36% hike - so no reason to complain.

That's a massive hike! With such a hike, who can complain?

Will be hearing about my hike in the coming month. Keeping my fingers crossed.
