Default Col. John Wakefield is no more

Col. John Wakefield, who was instrumental in setting up the eco tourism projects for the Jungle Lodges and Resorts passed away yesterday.

May his soul rest in peace.

It was sad indeed, seeing the obituary in TOI.
I am surprised that no one replied to this thread! Looks like not many nature lovers, or Kabini visitors!

The Legend of Kabini - May his soul rest in peace.

The Govt should do something in remembrance of this great personality for the wildlife tourism in India

This is real sad news. Never saw the article in TOI, not sure how I missed it. He was quite instrumental in managing JLR, Kabini and propagating Eco Tourism.

And yes it would be really good to see the govt. do something in his remembrance though i guess it will be tough to get them to do it.
