No probs, I play both.

Fav position - center forward in football
cricket - allrounder

(no performance guarantee)

They are still playing the samw way 6-0 in their last warm up game.

The key is their midfield which is literally the same as Barcelona's so you get the same accuracy with passing, creativity and ball possession (Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and Fabregas as a super-sub or starter if Iniesta is injured) with even better players upfront in Villa and Torres.

Villa will be playing for Barcelona next season so it will be even more eerie.

I do really like Spain (for many reasons) and Italy, but my heart has always been with Argentina (damn you Maradona).

Go India Go, I am sure they will finish in the 10 (World Cup 2058).

Hows England looking guys? Just getting back to watching Football after a loong break.
Sorry been out of football for a while so this worldcup is going to be one without favorites for me. Used to love Brazil , Argentina, Holland ( Ruud Gullit days), Italy, Germany in those days .

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the cheering from the supporters at the stadium for the opening match is kinda irritating, thanks to the monotonous blowing of trumpets? Can't even hear the commentary! I hope this does not continue for the entire duration of the World Cup.

^^
Yes, cheering from the crowd is bit irritating, I love EPL.

40 min in to the game and the score is 0-0. Looks like Mexico will score one soon.

I second that.
A poll would be quite interesting.

The France - Uruguay was great. Although 0-0, really thrilling!

Some great French free kicks (especially the first one) and awesome footwork by Ribery! The started getting really dirty though with both sides pushing for the win... ended up with several yellow cards and a Red card for an Uruguay'ian player.

How many matches are you suspended for with the red card?

Somehow I was not happy with Uruguay play yesterday. It was like they did not have a midfield. Midfield guys are happy patrolling their own penalty area and kick the ball far to the front without any build up of attacks and the forward stay far too to the front trying a counter attack and end up being off-side. Forlan and Suarez were good, but did not get enough support

French clearly lacked a good incisive forwards though the midfield was good with Ribery and Anelka

Sorry to disappoint you, but you'd have to get used to the nuisance, I'm afraid! Did you watch the Confederations Cup last year?

The politically correct people have already started claiming that it was adding to the atmosphere!

The sound of those trumpets sounded more like buzzing mosquitoes than trumpets
