De Rossi really went overboard with his acting. Even for the penalty which he earned for Italy, i didnt think he was pushed down as hard as he showed, although there was physical contact which i agree.

And after today's Brazil vs Ivory Coast match, I'm adding Ivory coast also to that list of actors. They are also learning well to fall down like nine pins with even the slightest touch. Good that they were forced to bite the dust by Brazil. Kader Keita should be banished from playing football for all his life as he is a disgrace to football and should never be allowed to near a football field. He himself came running towards Kaka and then fall down and acted as if been hit by a bulldozer.
Kader Keita is a disgrace to football. Is there any rule where he can be banned for misleading the referee on the field?

From New Zealand's point of view, this result against the defending champions is a major moral victory. They would have probably done anything to hold this result. So, if they wasted some time at the end, I think they could be allowed a pardon for that.

Time wasting is nothing new in competitive Football. Lots of teams, however credible, do this to achieve the result. Coaches/Trainers themselves vouch for it for there is a positive result to show.

We are talking about time wasting tactics against Italy. The biggest disgrace to this was by the Italians themselves in the 2002 world cup held in Japan-Korea. I do not recollect the opponents but the Italians and the opponents wasted a good 8-10 mins just passing the ball in order to go through the next round. It was plain passing without tackles, without player movements or intent. It was the most shameful act by a team and a disgrace to competive football.

Maicon's goal against N. Korea was awesome. Almost from the line - really cool angle to shoot on goal from

How many matches do you miss with the red card?

Have anyone saw the Potugal vs North Korea match? Missed the goal fest it seems. The scoreline was 7-0. Gonna go home and catch the highlights.

Those poor North Korean footballers are probably gonna go straight to labour camp after a result like this. Apparently that's what happened last time. A few of them may be looking to defect according to reports. North Korea has even sent military personnel disguised as 'fans'.

The Portugese team got some good shooting practise yesterday against the hapless koreans. But we shouldn't look too much in to this result as no good team will offer silly chances like these.

Now the sizzler everyone is waiting for Portugal Vs Brazil on Friday, umm I can't wait..

Chileans played an excellent game to thwart the tenacious swiss in the end. Loved some of those moves.

Portugal passed well, and ran all around the Koreans in their match. For all the dearth of goals so far in the WC, it was a goalfest, but i couldnt help but feel sorry for the Korean defenders.

If Spain is going to keep on playing like this then I don't think that they'll go very far. They had so many chances yesterday, played well in the midfield, created chances but when it came to converting those chances to goal they just faltered. Had it been their day, the scoreline would've read atleast 5-0 but it ended up with 2-0. Was very disappointing.

If Villa didn't miss that penalty, I think they would score 2-3 more goals. It was a momentum killer.

Not just Villa's miss, but it was Torres who was the main culprit. He missed two very very easy chances of scoring and in one it was only he and the goalkeeper and he shot it high.
Anyway, Argentina again today.
