My deepest condolences to Vinod's family.

Mods: Can we dedicate a small portion of our front page open, if possible with a photograph of Mr.Vinod, for general public/members to pay homage. Even this could be a for a temporary time frame.

Sad news indeed for all of us. Hope his family finds strength to cope with these difficult times. And thanks Steeriod for that write-up.

sad to hear about this. my condolences.
Vinod was a close friend of my bro and a few other of my cousins from their YMCA mumbai days in the early-mid 90's.

an email from his wife:
Dear Friend,

God has taken back Vinod to his heavenly kingdom on 1st November 2005 leaving me to complete the task we had started together.

Vinod had in fact gone to Trichur on Diwali day to order the tiles for the new cottage we are building. He suffered a massive heart attack on his way back and died.

It has been a great shock to me and our two children and Vinod's mother. I know it will take some time to over come the grief and shock.

Vinod loved what he was doing and his mother and me also shared his passion. We do not intend to stop, now that Vinod is gone. Just give us some time to recoup and re-arrange our life and PHILIPKUTTY'S FARM will be up and running once again.

Life must go on and I pray that the good Lord will give me the strength and wisdom to pick up the thread and continue as before.

You have all been a source of great strength and support to Vinod and our Farm. That is why I thought it was only fair that we shared this sad news with you and also inform you that PHILIPKUTTY'S FARM will start functioning once again from 15th November 2005. I hope you will continue to give us the support as in the past.

Yours sincerely,

Anu Mathew

Guys, IMHO best way to pay homage to Vinod now is by supporting this brave lady in whatever possible way we can. Our knowledge-base would be certainly limited (we are not a hospitality-industry forum, afterall), but still we can.

I don't know whether Mrs. Mathew will pay a visit to TBHP to read this thread. I hope she will pay (atleast) read-only visits, just as in true Vinod-fashion.

Fellow TBHPians, support her and her family in whatever degree or extent possible, however humble that may be.
