Recently came to know a term "Thread Hijacking".
User onDiego/Thread hijacking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thread hijacking in internet forum communication is the act of steering a discussion off-topic by discussing a subject entirely unrelated to the subject at hand.
While this can be an intentional act of trolling, it is often accidental - caused by participants in the discussion responding to a throwaway remark, thus taking the thread off at a tangent to the original subject matter. The results often provoke a feeling of resentment from the author of the original post.

How many times you have seen a thread getting hijacked and going off topic. What should we do @TBHP to avoid the threads getting hijacked.

1. Stick to topic being discussed
2. If any one is going OT, highlight that - but dont miss your part by contributing to actual discussion (subject of the thread)
3. Report the posts. Mods will take care of it.

There is no real need to discuss this. If instances of thread hi-jacking are brought to our notice by reporting it, support team will take necessary action. - Support Team
