[quote=Steeroid]Dude, this is too good...it says NO POTHOLES FOUND ON BANNARGHATTA RD.

It says NO POTHOLES FOUND in any locality in the city.

Nice concept. But wonder if anything worthwhile would come out of this.

Yes it is. I found it to be the BEST site on traffic rules in India. Very well illustrated and very comprehensive.

Hats off the Chandigarh Cops!

Hey Guys,
there's one for Mumbai too.
www.mumbaipotholes.com
Mumbai residents could log on and update that site.
Well for starters on road safety, a thread in the announcements section with rules and tips for new members and visitors coulod help.
We could also take photographs of the potholes in the city and send it to all the major newspapers of the city and to the CM's office (but get proof of delivery of the mail).
We could also try to inform people about road safety (i mean market road safety) by placing ads in newspapers containing facts like the number of people killed last year, a couple of scary accidents pics etc. It would mean pumping some of our own money but i am sure there are many BHPians who wouldn't mind sharing the costs. We could even ask ACI, times Group, Mid Day and the likes to sponser us.
I am sure that even a few car manufacterers would join and help educate the masses.
Think about it.
A one page ad in Mid Day, Times Of India, Hoarding around the city educating the masses.

lets vote for a race track in each and every city (which is affordable), so all of us can use it and make the roads safer.... esp MG road (blore) at midnight

Hey @amit, whenever i'm in Chandigarh(CHD) there is one thing that irritates me the most, people living in CHD have no sense on how to negotiate a rounder, everyone i see wants to get into the innermost lane irrespective of where he has to turn, as if there's a free gift for that.!!!

Guys , there is a movement called IFIX which I think started of in Bangalore but now has spread to other cities . A group of ppl get together and pool in money and then go about fixing basic things like pot holes , cleaning walls and stuff .

I havn't been for any FIX IT jobs yet but will be doing so shortly ....

Cheers
