140 is quite a very very high speed for a safari. Infact, i can even call 140 as tata safari's top speed. At 140, the car is too unstable to try anything.

All i can say about this is that, its a "bird brain" story.

Nothing can be done just because he's saying he was doing 140. Besides, often you get to see one or two jeeps (not Safari) or Sumos with some guys waiting under the bridge with speed guns. Actually, (or my experience) they allow up to 100km. Though rule says 80km. One mad guy stands in the middle of the road pointing his speed gun at you. Another guy stands next to him, waving his hands, signaling you to stop...and also ready to run after you in case you don't...

In this case it was a cattle crossing the road. Not surprising at all. I've seen this many a times.
damn! they really so that? maybe tehy jumped in front of the actor and he did a filmy style and booom.

joke apart, aint that foolish. what if teh driver is doing high speeds( oh yah you are not supposed to ) but what if they scare the driver.

I am with RX on this one. I highly doubt the guy was buckled up. According to the article, the actor was thrown out of the car despite being belted...where as his driver did not sustain ANY injury. Makes you wonder.

You obviously havent driven the Safari at 140...it feels like its doing 80 or something and is probably good for another 40 kms more at least.

Its ROCK SOLID at those speeds.

Looks like a publicity stunt to garner sympathies for this dudes movie " TAJ MAHAL" which releases next week. Saw him enjoying dinner at a suburban night spot yesterday .....and to top it its MIDDAY who's reporting , so just take it with a pinch of salt !

Hmm, Bangalore boy Zulfi Sayeed didn't create any ripple in Bangalore. Floating around in Bombay for some time now...yeah NC, could be a publicity stunt. Anticipating not so warm welcome for TAJ MAHAL..

Don't know but I have my doubt about this film

The problem is of his own making so I doubt many will have sympathy for him.

The Safari might be stable at 140 in a straight line, but there will be a huge amount of body roll while conering making it difficult to take the turns at say 80kmph.

After all these expressway accidents, make sure u've checked ur tyres and everytin elz before ripping ur car. Why risk ur life just for a small amt of thrill
