Absolutely shocking news ! I have known TRRK since early 90's through the CiX BBS, and he had visited my home and had dinner with us when he came for a BBS meet in Bangalore in the mid-90's. He used to be a prolific contributor to the bulletin board even in those days, and was a hugely respected figure in that community impressing one and all with the breadth of his interests as well as the warmth and humility with which he used to interact with even the little kids who were on that forum.

We lost touch after the BBS closed down but re-established contact a few of years back when he managed to track down my son's email ID from a web search and sent him an email. Met him again on TBHP after that, and I had promised him that I'd visit his home the next time I visited that part of the Kerala. Feeling very sad that I could never find enough time to make good that promise in spite of having visited Cochin and Kottayam a couple of times after that albeit on very short visits.

We'll all miss you very much, dear friend.. May your soul rest in peace, and may the almighty give strength to the bereaved family to overcome the immense grief.

Unhappy

I'm deeeply shocked and my heart is feelin so heavy reading this tragic news!! I cant type words..seems i've lost a close friend. I remember when i missed meeting him at Allepey, he was bit upset but promised to meet him next year...and alas this had to happen!

I can't beleive we have lost such a wonderful person..even thou he never owned a FIAT, he has given us (PUG) so much valuable information which has helped us somewhere in our life! His way of life shows how valuable and humble life one can live by sharing and helping others!

Everytime I would see those PUG stickers, YOU would be remembered Dr. TRRK :(

GOD bless your soul....and your family and give them the strength to overcome this grief.

You would be badly missed sir! Rest in Peace!

I'm shocked to read this! I'd just read his reply to my post in my ownership thread, and scrolled down, to read that he had expired, and that what I'd just read was his last post!. I've known him for a far too short period of time than I'd have liked. He was an immensely helpful contributor and a wonderful person. I extend my most heartfelt condolences to his survivors.

Rest in peace Friend, and Godspeed. You will be missed.

Never met him and would never meet him again, but I didnt have to - whenever I read his posts, I felt always that I was personally interacting with him.

As some people have remarked,a number of his posts reflected the love he had for his family and some other simple joys in his life.

I pray for his soul to rest in peace and strength to his family.

RIP trrk

Saw this thread pretty late . Condolences to the family and tribute to the Dr. I used to read and follow his threads and comments with interest. I loved the enthusiasm he had in general for a person his age.
