This beautiful Audi A3 was built to show the maximum performance in a normal street car. Renato Rivic, one of the famous German installers, made this wonderful installation in his garage.

INSTALLATION
The goal was to have a good sounding 5.1 channel surround sound system with an amazing installation. Renato Rivic from X-Dream Car-Audio built the complete car and let this dream come true. The outside design, the color and the style fits a hundred percent to the inside design, this car and its car audio installation is unique.

For various technical and policy decisions( that i cannot discuss), the plan for the swift demo car has been put back by 2 more months.

I will then revive the demo car thread i had started. It is still my dream to have a car designed and installed by TBHPians & it will happpen. From Tyres to wheels to engine-vengine to a great TBHP decal somewhere in the JBL madness. It will happen.

The Subaru Impreza has the A600GTI, you can see it quite clearly.

Here are the installation pictures. Then I will put up the finished photos. The polish team doesn't believe in putting too much equipment as was apparent from the mini install. (either that or they believe in very small cars)

The wiring diagram

Smart as a car is extraordinary and unsusual and that is why it was chosen for the demo car of the Polish team.

A demo car’s aim is to present the performance of the installed components and the installers’ skills.

COMPONENTS

The components are:
- flagship Becker source – Becker Mexico Pro CD
- DVD player – Harman Kardon OEM BMW
- LCD screen – Harman Kardon OEM BMW
- Front speakers – JBL P550C (2 sys)
- Sub – JBL P1220E
- Amp – JBL PX 300.4
The installer did not install rear speakers on purpose as the car is too small to do it in a proper way.

The source and DVD player are installed in such a way that they are integrated with the car’s dashboard – only the disc slot and the “eject” button of the DVD player can be seen. The DVD player can be controlled only by a remote control. The LCD screen was supposed to be seen by the passengers and not the driver.

The first problem was to install the component system in the car’s door. Due to Smart’s particular construction, the door had to be totally deconstructed. That is why the speakers were installed in a sealed enclosure. The enclosure was built after many tests done at Wroclaw Technical University. There are two component systems JBL POWER P550C plus passive cone (also from the P550C system). Midrange speakers, passive cones and one pair of tweeters are mounted in the door panel, specially prepared for this purpose. The other pair of tweeters in installed in the mirror enclosure.

The second problem was the position of the engine that is placed below the trunk., so the audio components have to leave access to the engine. That is why only the subwoofer is mounted on the floor and it can be taken out within one minute.The amp is hung over the sub on an orange construction made of HDF. All the installation is black and orange and additionally lighted with neon lights.

SOUND
The audio system has a lot of power and has a lively and dynamic performance. High frequencies are well-balanced and clear, midrange sound is very rich and detailed. The bass is well-controlled, deep and powerful.

LOOKS
Seats were coated with black and orange leather with embroidered JBL logo. The wheels were changed into OZ Racing Agyll ones – specially dedicated to Smart. The car was decorated with JBL POWER artwork.

The installation was done by Extreme Car Audio from Wroclaw, Poland.
