The midbass reproduction in that car was out of this world. Best I've ever heard. IMHO, better than the Alpine X-Types in our installer's OHC. The door was really well-damped (both the plastic panel, as well as the naked door shell). I think about 50% of the damping in that car (and that car was really well-damped) went into the doors.

Correct I have used the wooden spacer first then the Steel one because I wanted a soild and heavy base for mounting. I could have used Aluminum one also but the tapping holes done for mounting the midbass get damage even after few times screwing and unscrewing only. Also I used the mdf as if I had used both the iron spacers the weight would have be quite more.

ya I agree when I play the front stage alone some people thing the sub is not required as the Iridium go quite low

And the swift door are real pain. even after 20 sqft of damping done on each door some thing still rattles. I think it is the mirror winding mechanism. But I am ok with it.

Each time you'll have to keep the door pad back to see if it is obstructed. Or is it easier than I assume? Please shed some light on it.

Your measurement has been spot on... I know many installers will struggle to get it this right.. Hats of to you

LBM-bhai has an entire metal-processing workshop at his disposal, as well as the measurement and machining skills. Only an exacting person like him can put all that to good use - I am sure he has verrry happy customers.

Thats the standard grille that comes with LBM's DLS Iridium speakers.

Hmm kinda of yes, with any kind of machining work with very good accuracy and finish. The tweeter and midrange pods are in progress. The job will be done on a wire cut machine which has the accuracy of 5-10 microns but that much accuracy is not required but the looks will be great.
