Here is the complete detail to how to mount the midbass from outside the door panel..

First I mounted the Steel ring on the old wooden spacer. Long allen bolt and counter was cut in the spacer ring so that the head goes inside. And 8 threaded hole for the mounting of the mid bass

You can also see a black closed cell foam to protect the speaker from rain water if it finds the way inside. Here is a picture of the speaker after more than 1 year use.

Now the swift door panel are quite light so I did a little more damping. See no place left on the door panel or the door. Full seal tight.

Now the door panel is fitted back. The original grill was removed.

The grill holder goes in first..

then the speaker..

the retaining ring on the speaker..

after the grill is attached...

Finish

Enjoy music and lots of midbass.
