what spl figure are you aiming for lbm? 160+ db? or 170?

Sir I agree on the point of upgrading the charging system but where can I get that kind of alternator here in india. My first thread on this very forum was for that purpose only. Chalo that is history. I am ok with play for short durations only. So upgrade in that area planed till now maybe later when I get a bigger amp.

For your future uprades, some info. A skoda alternator(bosch) is available for 18K in open market. Bosch dealers can arrange for you a 200A alternator for that price. Fitment is your headache of course.

I too tried to find alternator replacements in Mumbai, have spoken to a few good guys out here....they also not very sure about the alternator upgrades. They have asked me to come sometime down to their workshop and then probably they'll be in a better position to find out.

you get bolt on fit alternators(not in India of course) i would not mod my car to fit another cars alt.

BTW, can anyone tell me the alternator rating for the following cars.

That is the same thing which is bugs me a lot. Have been the factory replacement I would have changed the day I had bought the car.
