Between Pio & Blau at that price point I'd back Blau all the way. You won;t get a good enough Pio with B&W at that price point. You'll have choice of a Blau Mumbai or Maui at that price. (Maui has 1 preout + 1 sub out. Mumbai has only 1 pre-out). Blau gives really good service too. More brownie points for Blau.

Your heart is in the right place :-) Though you don't want bling, the Maui has 16 different display colours (user-selectable).

"Mumbai" is the name of Blau's entry model. :-) You know, localization and all that.

6850 has 3 RCA Preouts while 5850 has 2 RCA.
6850 Has 7 Band digital graphics equalier and 5850 has 3 band parametric equalizer.

Well if your dealer is trustworthy enough it should be ok.

The only 3 additional features the 6850 has over the 5850 (as per the Pio website) are:
- iTunes AAC playback
- 3 RCA preouts (2+sub preout) as against only 2 preouts for 5850.
- Multilanguage display (of no use to us).

I thing the 3 preouts itself is good enough to justify the 6850.

That 1.5k difference is worth for the extra features and upgradability. Sound? It'll be better because you can power all your speakers and sub thru an amp using preouts.

My vote is to sell some old underwear, get some bucks and buy the 6850! Nobody will know you don't wear it!

Rev,

You should have to go for 6850 because in 6850 you can select 7 ban graphical equalizer.

Mugen.
