Anyway, even to my limited understanding and ICE knowledge, it looks like you have an awesome setup in your car. Great, man.

Or the ICE is new...

Time for me to get the hell out of the ice-wice section.

Thanks a lot! The Monster as you put it, sounds incredible! This is the first time I've ever invested considerable amount of money on car audio and I know what it is worth. I find great balance between the lows, mids and the highs. I'd known beforehand that JBL speakers would be a little bright and hence I avoided installing the tweeters that came with the components - to my taste, it sounds absolutely perfect!

I don't remember the exact price of every component, since I'm currently in Hyderabad now, I'll have to fetch the bills when I get to Mysore and post the costs on the 'What ICE @ What price' thread, but if you want an approximate cost of every component, PM me and I'll let you know.

Thanks again.

Do you think it makes no sense to leave the tweeters out? I generally keep the fader at F5 and still, I tend to get enough highs from the 937's (With the +3dB buttons kept off).

Am I missing something here? I thought it would be pretty sharp if I used the tweeters.

the tweeter are meant to be used....I would suggest to put them up and tone them down from the crossover and the HU...they will change the sound to a great extent....

You should install the tweets too. You can control the level of highs by cutting them at the crossover (there will be a -3 setting). Without the tweets, you won't get good imaging up front. I think the 937s also have a push switch that you can use to cut the high-frequency response.

I understand that the components in the door are not able to produce the full range of mid and high frequencies. I'd just ignored the tweeters thinking they would add too much of highs making it difficult during long hours of listening (besides as I already mentioned, the 937's are doing a decent job with the highs). Now, I've changed my mind, I'll go with the gurus, I'll install them this weekend when I go to Mysore and get the -3dB setting done in the crossovers.

Where do you think is a good place to install it? I was thinking of the door panels, but the tweeters get really close to the ears. Do you think it would be OK to install them on the dash?

And yes hydrashok, I was referring to the same 3dB buttons on the 937's which are always set to 'off'.
