Reminds me of my experience at a Macdonalds in Singapore:
"Gimme a burger without the burger" (wife's a vegetarian)
"Huh, whaa? Baagaa, no baagaa???" (baagaa: burger in Singlish)

1 + (-1) = 0, right? That's what the poor guy had understood.

Installing them on the dash just at the point where the A-pillar meets the dash should be good. Or you can try the lower-most point of the A pillars.

You may-not be able to screw them down, and will have to use double-sided tape. Be careful of not getting them knocked off their position when you give the car for servicing.

Installing them in the door panels has the advantage that the wiring is less messy. The whole unit will be within the doors itself, without a wire needing to go to the dash. But then you can always see how it goes with the dash install and shift them later if you feel like.

EDIT: Since you don't like it too bright, I think l_b_m's pic shows a pretty good (and simple) option too.

And guys, guys, puhleeze

I had asked this before also, can't tweeters be flush mounted either in A-pillar or the panel behind mirrors? Will the space available be sufficient to do that (with an average sized tweeter)?

Raghu, it is refreshing to see someone that does not like highs so much. This is precisely why your head unit has a treble control. Go minus if you like, my friend,

But install the tweeters.

How exactly do I choose a "-3 setting"? Is there a switch on the crossover or do I need to open it up? And does this reduce the brightness of the tweets appreciably?

Yes. All thanks to you. I have.

Razor, there's a jumper in the crossover. 0 and +3.
