I met vikram today at Poona Motors. The install had just been completed.

One tweeter from the front components was faulty, and it needs to be replaced. Otherwise, the setup was sounding really sweet.

Will hear it again once its tuned.

A faulty tweeter? Are you sure? That sounds weird. I've never heard of a faulty tweeter in brand new components.
Are you sure it wasn't a misconnection or perhaps overdriven by mistake?

Nope sam, no misconnection, neither was it overdriven. The left tweeter is working fine and so is my earlier Polk Momo, when tested at the right location. Just pure bad luck I guess, as I've never heard of such a thing as well.

It just didn't work, that's it! And btw, the rest of the setup, even with a missing tweeter is SWEET!!!

A new tweeter is on its way to you. The failure is shocking as HERTZ has a zero defect track record. Anyways, this is what warranty is for.

Yeah! The warranty is always there for these kind of 'expected' events!

Glad you bought it with B&W.

Hertz speakers does sound a lot sweet and beautiful. It's an experience which can oly be described after listening it.

Gunbir do you think the tinsel lead could have come loose in shipping?

vickram, how did you conclude he tweeter was faulty? did you measure it with a ohmeter?

I am sorry for mis-spellig your name. I know how it feels. People often mis-spell my name and address me as Naveen. As far as neutering the tweeter it was another typo I meant THE not HE. and I was just ruiling out simple errors.

What does my name mean to ICE? Last I was told "Navin" meant "New or Unique" in Marathi. New I am not (ok I was at birth) and my uniquness is normal - I am as unique as everyone else.
