is not the BLau Mar2 special a 60*4 rms amp that makes it 240-250rms na
800rms would more likely be the peak rms .

sorry to bump it up again, but a friend is buying a spark PS ( it doesnt come with a rear parcel tray/speaker locations) , it can be added as an option, but it costs 4k . He wasnt planning to put rear speakers in the first place, and I almost talked him into getting the rear speaker brackets + an MDF plank with ovals. But now this vetoes it. Thinking about getting the illusion 4" comps ,or plain 4" coax, but bass is the big guestion. the space is tight already, so adding a boxed sub is out of the question, and now , so it the rear parcel tray.

Blaupunkt - Loudspeakers - TH-Series - THb 200A is the available in india, and at what cost ? another option is to get an IB sub and mount it in the spare wheel well. Are there other solutions ?

and which is the better one

And as always , budget is very tight. He's said 10k for HU + speakers , but I'll see if i can stretch it a bit

I would suggest you to get Kicker 4" components in front which generate decent bass.
Get a rear wooden plank (Rs.700) and mount speakers onto it. If you are looking for bass, get an amp and drive rear speakers through them.

You can get above items in your budget.

I am sorry, i have no idea about thb 200A availability in india.

can you fit a wooden plank even without the rear bracket ? ( the one with the provision for some 4" speakers).

There are wooden planks readily available in market for spark.
The wooden plank will have provision for mounting 6X9 speakers.

Are you planning to mount 4" speakers in rear?

no, we saw there was a rear bracket + parcel shelf in the LS and above versions. in those , putting in an MDF parcel shelf is easy. My friend is getting a PS, in that neither the parcel shelf , nor its bracket is there, in which you place the parcel tray

is it true that 4" co-ax's cannot handle power of an amp? in my case its a gt5402 and i'm planning to get a gt5 4 ch. amp or a kenwood 8401. Will the power supplied by these amp would be too much to handle for my gt5-402?

if you have an amp for your 4" coax i suggest you HPF them at 100Hz/12db. They will produce no bass then but they will not be taxed hard either. A 4" produces very little bass an cannot produce deep bass at high volumes. It might be better to get a dedicated sub and let the 4" do what it's better at (the midbass and midrange).

For the budget, its better to get a 4" coax for the front and 6x9s for the rear. There should be an aftermarket parcel tray solution with the local installer.

This would cause the sound to be too biased towards the rear. It will drown out the fronts. 4"ers are normally less sensitive than 6x9s. If this is the arrangement, then better to skip fronts altogether.

I have the setup like this in my chevy spark:
Front: JBL 4" coaxials
Rear: JBL GTO937 Running on AMP
SUB: Pioneer sub running on AMP

I am using fader to reduce the output of rear speakers. This will give a good sound all around.
