| BHPian | Hi BHpians, My ICE setup includes: Blaupunkt London MP37 HU with 4096 color display Blaupunkt GTA 4 special MK II 800W 4 channel AMP JBL GTO 937 coaxials at the rear JBL CS2104 comps in the front Pioneer W125F 800W subwoofer Amp is driving rear JBL speakers and Sub. HU drives front speakers. I am very happy with the configuration and setup done by Car shringar in Bangalore. Blaupunkt HU comes with 2 year theft insurance and 1 year warranty. Everything is covered under warranty. I paid 26K for the entire setup. The bass generated by sub is huge and sound clarity is great What do gurus say about combination? Shortly i will put some pics.

| Congrats. JBL CS2104 Comps - I think ,JBL CS2104 is 4" 2 way coaxial, not componant. Why your front speakers are not driven by the amp? any specific reason? (I understand that Gurus here advice to drive the front speakers with amp and the rear ones with HU) |

| BHPian | The guy who fitted system told me that front speakers cannot handle excessive power. Also i m getting huge punch from sub and rear speakers. I really feel happy when people outside my car look at me when they hear the music.

| if you prefer to let people outside the car enjoy the music then leave your amp to power the rear and sub. if you want more enjoyment when you drive then use the amp to power the front and sub (just HPF the front channels to 80Hz or if that does not work 100Hz).

| Senior - BHPian | Good combination! Fantastic deal You've got. Enjoy! The front speakers, ie... CS2104, are they components? If yes, where have you installed the tweeters? It may not be capable of handling all the power from a good amp. But still it can be connected to an amp if it can be tuned and controlled. But, please explain the installation of the front components. For your listening pleasure and tastes of now, leave the setup as it is for now. When you get tired of people looking at you or when they start ignoring you, you can tinker around with your system a bit including a change of your front sound stage.

| BHPian | @Gurus As you suggested i will go with AMP driving rear speakers and sub as of now. I can hear lot of vibrations in the rear diccy/boot cover when sub is on. I didnot hear this in first 2 days of use. Any alteration to be done in keeping the sub with the box in boot? Can you guys recommend what would be best frequency to be set in HU for crystal clear listening exp? @Navin Can you explain me in detail your statement (just HPF the front channels to 80Hz or if that does not work 100Hz) @Speedzak CS2104 are coaxials. I have fixed them on the dash board. I dont have space on the doors. You are right. I will keep existing system intact.

| Senior - BHPian | Yes! I was a bit confused when you said it is components. Thanks for clearing the doubt. It is better to keep the system intact (as it is) for now. If you feel like improving your front sound stage later, then You'll have to replace your existing coaxials with a pair of good components. Then you can connect it to your existing amp. As for the unwanted noises from the boot, do you have a parcel tray? Is it stock/OE? Make sure it is not moving unnecessarily. Also keep the sub on and inspect the boot and around areas for the sources of there noises. You can use your hands to touch and feel the vibrations. Once it is identified, eliminate it by either damping it with some damping material or stick it to the body or so.... You'll have to repeat the procedure until all the vibrations are gone.

| BHPian | @speedzak Im not using OE parcel tray. I purchased wooden plank and mounted speakers on it. I can hear vibrations from rear ie rear windshield and even body. What is damping material? Can you tell me frequency settings for sub woofer? I can feel pain in my ears when bass is quite loud ![]()

| Senior - BHPian | There's a thread explaining about different damping materials and methods. Please read it. You'll have to open the boot door panels and do a bit of damping job there. That's going to cost you money though. A cheap alternative is to fill the boot door insides with some waste cloth/sponge. Go to car shringar and explain this. Maybe they will help you too. Regarding the sub frequency, it depends a lot on your listening tastes. According to what we read earlier, You can set it at 80hz low pass. Even 100hz if you want. Some bass heads will go all the way to 200!! I like it to be kept around 50/60hz. That is smooth, low and likeable bass for me.

| Senior - BHPian | Congrats! Great to know you're enjoying your music. Do post the pictures ![]() djay, this is a common problem with free-air subwoofers, you need to take care of the boot in the best possible way, otherwise it rattles. All you have to do is damp the boot, as completely as possible. You can find the damping thread here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/produc...er-thread.html (The Damping Material and Sound Deadener Thread)
