Hi sabre just got your pm , congrats on your 7950 , the USB thing is not only handy but also prevents skipping and jumping which becomes common in case of listening to CD's and especially on Rough Roads. Enjoy your music

^^ hey thanks Nikunj.
This is the very reason I wanted to go for a HU with usb port on it. Infact I cannot hear the FM in Kolkata since it plays hardly any content that would suit my taste. I dont carry more than two-three cds in my car. Hence I've connected my Philips Go-Gear to the Pio and listening to 1GB of my favourite songs. No skipping at all.

By the way, I'am unable to set the clock on the 7950...can you help me?

Hi Sabre,

Nice set up. Wait for the GTO427s for the front - they are really good. I use them in my Wagon R and am pretty pleased.

Also, don't want to hijack your thread, but Kolkata members please me me with this - I am looking for Wurth damping sheets - are they available in GLIX? If so, pricing - I can have a friend pick them and courier them over to Siliguri. Having a terribly hard time getting them here. From what I heard only Glix stocks these and he won't give it to anybody else (read Siliguri Vendors).

Thanks Johy..I have decided to wait untill the GTO427 is available.

I was introduced to Glix by other members here. I think Glix is one of the best auto accessories shops in Calcutta and I think they do a very neat job. I can enquire with them once about the Wurth damping sheets you are looking for.

^^^ Shuv if you talk to Vinay tomorrow then kindly enquire on my behalf if the JBL GTO427 is now available or not? If not then approximately how long will one have to wait to get his hands on one?

Is the JBL prices also without B&W ?

The MDF plank seems to be very cheap.
In Cochin, it costs about 700-900.

hey, to set the clock, first, switch off the unit, (with the ign on) and then press the joystick for about 5 seconds and u'll enter the setup menu. Here u can set the clock and there are a whole lot of other features like dimmer, brightness etc etc.

Yes the JBL prices are also without B/W

I guess since it's so cheap I didnt get to choose the color of fabric on the plank. It's the stuff that comes with the usual alto. I wanted the fabric to match my beige interiors. Anyways I hardly have anyone on the backseat so who cares...

thanks a ton to you since I couldnt at all find out any way to set the clock..Shuvd had suggested a crude method to disconnect the battery at 23:59 hours and then reconnect it again it at 00:00 hours to reset the clock. Then he suggested me to ask this question in my thread...and lucky me...here I got the answer...

Another option for 4" is the new GT-5 402 costing Rs. 1495 MRP. I'm not sure if this is easily available as it has just recently been introduced.

Now that I got a better way to set the clock..I think I'am saved..
