I had posted some of the finished pictures here.

Except for the Battery, most of the work seems to have been completed.

Will take new snaps & post again. But that will happen tom. No camera here.

Lovely install! Everything looks so neat and well planned.

Snowy white i10's looks good too. Lovely car. Just wish Hyundai hadnt spoiled the game by giving those fugly looking rims in the higher variants.

Sir, the Rims I changed;
The I-10 comes with no alloys.
I put 14" Alloys & the Tyres too I upsized. These are from Slovenia. The ones that the Skoda Fabia comes with - Matador -
The I-10 has 13" as standard, I think. I have upsized to 14"

This Alloy is not a 'sporty' kind. It is for a 'lady' hence, I chose one that looks kind of 'womanly' [sorry - that is no term !!]

Hnmmm.
I thought I read an "H" in the pics on the Rim's monogram. So thought it was an OE fitment.

Lovely install anyways. That's what this thread is meant for :-)

Sir, The Alloys you see in the picture is a 'Multi Hole' PCD.
OEM can never come like this & Indian manufacturers would never give such a big tyre & lower profile. 'Average' is too important for them. Safety & Traction are way down on thier list of priorities. They only want 'average' & average only !! Sad !!

'B' - quite a lot of questions on the tweet mounting.

How is the tweeter base fixed to the dash? Screw/double sided tape/glue ... ?

Also how is the base attached to the tweeter pod? I see that it allows swivelling. How much? 180deg?
Once it is set at an angle how does it stay there? I mean is there any chance of the tweet moving around a bit when the car is in motion, over say rough roads?

Any chances of rattles developing in future due to the stands?

Wink Tweeter mount !!!

The tweeter housing has NO Moving Parts.

To begin with it is fitted with double sided tape. That will surely come out. But once the position is more or less finalised, we will super glue it to the dash. No Screw etc.

As mentioned above. No Swivel is possible !

None have happened as yet. The same thing was done in the I-10 & no noise from there either.

B, I think you are refering to your own I-10 in your I-10 thread.

Aha. That explains it.
Slightly OT question. How does one remove the mount (if required), once it is stuck with super glue? Say when selling the car some years down the line.

Sir,
Your question is valid;
However, it is about 'lesser evils'

The best option is to place the tweeter in its 'stock position' on the door next to the A & B Pillars. This sounds 'poor'

The Other is to cut the place near the mid bass & install the tweeter there. This will cause a permanent cut in both front doors.

The 3rd option is what I did. No cut, jhust stick. The Housing can be pulled out & the glue part can be scraped out. Only 2 or 3 drops are there & it comes out easily.

This option gives me the 'best sound stage' among the 3 mounting options !!!

That's reassuring. Might take this route if and when I get my components !

One more Q. Does the dash need to be opened in anyway to pass the tweeter wire from below it to the top? Or is it possible to push it through the gap - between the dash/pillar/windscreen?

No Opening is required !!!

Simple installation !! Just the 'housing of the tweeter' has to be fabricaed !!! 4 seasons gets it done - the fabricators name is Sikander !!!
