Default Some kind of Monster - This Civic ICE

Took this pics from Auto Fusion in Bangalore while my i10 was getting iced. Not too sure about the specifications. I am searching for the paper in which I wrote, but I guess the final result was a whoopping 4 Lakhs!

Check the Pics, have got some more, will upload later.

Didn't dare ask the individual prices :-).

1. HU - Pioneer AUH P7950 DVD
2. GTI 660 Components
3. Amp eclipse 4 Channel Ea 4100 (Left and Right amps in the boot)
4. Amp Mono JL Audio 500 (the middle one in the boot)
5. JL Audio Sub 10W 6V4
6. E505 CSP Eclipse Centre Speaker
7. Alpine SBS 05DC Centre channel speaker
8. Capacitor Fusion Audio (1.5 Farad) (the side 2 Caps)

Audison Wiring Kit, Dynamet dampening etc.

But one thing I didn't understand, I overheard the installer saying that the Speakers need to "BURN" properly for some days and only then you can tune etc.

Any clue?

It is like the Sub woofer wants to scream and boom but someone has tied it to keep quite !!!

Look at the size of those crossovers! And the frame of the tweeters up front!

From the number of amps, and the look of the crossovers, it looks like the comps up front are running active.

He is referring to breaking in of the drivers. After several hours of playback, the various mechanical parts of the speaker are exercised and reach a stable point. This is when the true sound of the speaker is realized. Even woven cones etc are believed to display this charachteristic.

ok, I checked with Anwar on this and looks like that was best possible angle they could get to hear high frequency - just enough to get into your brain and blood!! It seems the normal angle was too high on frequency
and was hitting hard.

He said he will give me a demo and I hesistantly accepted 'coz I didn't have aspirin handy. But I was pleasantly shocked to hear the sound. It was a clean SQL set up and I was relieved.

My i10 was just iced that time and I put the same CD which I tested, and lo!!! obviously money matters too. I heard lot of different layers of the same Rahman music.

Brilliant I should say, but maybe some more tuning is required for Pop kind of songs where I thought the Bass was little too solid than fluid :-) [sorry I don't know how to put in words !!!]

Please also watch my baby i10 ICE in another thread which I am going to post now.
