Default Stock Locations for mounting Speakers in Different Cars

Hi, Was thinking about making a thread to know about the stock as well as other possible install locations in indian cars. Since there is no comprehensive source of info for this.

My contribution

Indica

4" in dash
5.25" (6.5" with spacer possible) in front door
Rear parcel shelf

Indigo CS

4" in dash
5.25" (6.5" with spacer possible) in front door
5.25" in rear shelf, 6x9's can be installed after cutting.

I'd appreciate if someone posts the stock locations for the Chevy Spark

EDIT: never mind. Found that Spark has only 4" dash locations + rear parcel tray :(

Swift:
6.5" at front doors
6.5" at rear doors
Tweeters should be mounted at A pillar or dash or doors (no provision with grilled cavity. you need to screw/stick mount them)
Parcel tray is only for higher model (ZXi). So for other models need to buy parcel tray if planning to mount on them.
Sub can be inside boot.

Good thread, will be very helpful.

Alto\Wagon R\ Spark

4 inch speaker on Dashboard facing upwards.

In Alto there are only two mount points diagonally, so the other two brackets are either folded or need to be cut to accommodate the speaker

Santro

4 inch speaker on dashboard facing the occupants i.e. at the end of dashboard at either ends

p.s. Please read the thread before posting to avoid duplication

Hyundai getz 6.5" in both front and rear doors.

no stock provisions for tweeters. can be mounted on the doors itself by making holes.

Hey Green, it is a scoop type vent which is tapered to inner and going deep inside in a curvy fashion. Not just a grill with space inside meant for tweeters. Don't know how to put it better, but hope you understood .

I think it's a Vent which will blow air onto the front windows to prevent fogging.

the newer maruti 800 dash ,post 2001 , supports a 4" speaker. the left speaker is located between the left front door and glovebox. the right speaker is located just below the steering column.

4" fronts in-dash
6"x9" in the sidepanels above the wheel well of the boot.
don't know what size can fit in the doorpads though.

Even the older type had it
and the boot can take a 6x9 with spacer rings

Swift Dzire:

6.5" front door (with spacer rings)
5.25" rear parcel shelf

Unlike the rear door of the smaller Swift the Dzire does not have provision to fit speakers on the rear door.
