| Hi All, As promised in my previous post - WagonR Peculiar requirements (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...quirement.html (WagonR - Peculiar Requirement)) here are the pics of my install. 1 - Boxes :-) ![]() 2 - HU: Alpine 9886 (4 Images: With Flash / Fader-Balance Control / Imprint Menu (HPF) / Tuner ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 3 - Front Coax: Coustic 4 inch - (4 Images: Box / Specifications / Install1 / Install2) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 4 - Rear Triax: Coustic 6inch triax - (4 Images: Box / Specs / Install1 / Install2) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 5 - Sub Woofer: Kicker 10 Inch (7 Images: Box / Specs / SubEnclosure1/SUbEnclosure2/SubEnclosure3/Boot without Sub / Boot with sub) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 6 - AMP: Kicker 2 Ch (Will upload images in next post as I have exhausted quota) Installation: Tecnokrat - Chennai Front Coax: In Stock Rear Coax: On hatch door - with a thick wood board Sub: Sealed enclosure. This enclosure is removable. Whenever there is a need for boot - remove sub - change HPF setting to OFF. That lets the bass frequencies pass through front and rear both speakers. Amp: Below pillion (Say clearner ) SeatSound tuning: 1 - Bass = Center Freq: 80 Hz; Gain 0 Normally; Width Q1 (Narrow) 2 - Treble = Center Freq: 15 KHz; Gain 0 Normally 3 - SubWoofer = 7 on 15 (on HU) - Not sure gain tuning on Amp 4 - Amp powers Subs - I guess both channels are bridged 5 - Front & Rear Coaxes driven out of HU Sound Effects: Nice deep bass. Good Mids. Sharp Highs. Music choice - Hard rock & Heavy metal - Entire setup sounds nice. Sometimes - Highs come out pretty sharp (cymbals) - I guess some would find them to be bright!!! Player clarity: Simply amazing!!! CDs / MP3s / IPOD / FM works fantastic. This HU was bought after comparison with Pio4050. Alpine simply rocks!!! Overall = ROCKS Space Saving = Customizable boot! Sub can be removed to make space for luggage. No MODIFICATIONS / CUTS: Except the hatch door wood panel!!! Most of All: SOUND QUALITY: SUPER!!! |

| Senior - BHPian | Congrats!! I recently got a Alpine 9887, agree with you that Alpine sound quality is awesome!! Any particular reason for not going for a 4 channel amp powering both the sub and front speakers? I am wondering whether the front sound stage is getting compomised. |

- well may be during next upgrade. ![]() Besides the guy also advised that since i was going for stock size speaker only - 4 inch - did not need tobe powered. 22RMS on HU should be sufficient!!! Quote:

Speakers: 5k (Front & Rear all included) Amp & Sub + enclosure: 14k Throw in the installation + Cabling etc approx 38k Yes I run almost everything flat. In very few cases where sound quality is not upto the mark (low sampling rate etc) - is where i need to pump up the Bass / Treble / SW settings...Which is why I said Normally!!!

| Senior - BHPian | Hey! Kewl man. That's an amazing, everything @ stock location install. Good products used too. Enjoy your setup and space! ![]() When's the next upgrade coming up? I'm sure you need a good component upfront. Don't you?

15k is without B&W. With B&W is 16590 + tax. HU comes witha short USB cable (insufficient to get it all the way to front - so if you want to Use USB - you would need an extension) IPOd adapter (Looks like elder brother of Serial Port) is there but you need a separate IPOD cable
