Honda Civic VTI - CarPC + PowerBass/JBL ICE

Hello all,
I figured that I will share my install
CarPC based on VIA Epia SN10000EG Mini-ITX motherboard, with 4GB Kingston HyperX Memory, 40GB laptop SATA Hard Drive, M2-ATX Automotive Power Sypply and built in dasboard 7 inch touchscreen.
ICE consist of whole set od PowerBass Xtreme Series apeakers, including front componens, rear coaxials and subwoofer, all powered by JBL GTO75.4 and GTO75.2 amplifiers.

I installed everything by myself.
On the website there are 4 galleries, need to press button next to thumbs to switch between them.

Is that plexiglass you have there for the enclosures? Maybe chuck in some LED lighting to give them a glow in the dark

How are those drivers your running, Iv never heard of them before.

I was actually thinking about some lighting there, probably will get around to do that soon.
I am really happy with speakers, great quality and sound. I am not an expert but I used to have Hertz system in previous car and I think that this one is much, much better.

The Spokesmodel sure does look like she's got power'base'

I see the extreme series has a silk tweeter dome. Im not a big fan of the space-age design of the speakers but hey what the hell if they sound good it doesnt matter. The X looks very similar to Sony 'X'plod!

How would you rate them... Loud... Laidback etc.

I think thats a little bit too flashy for me, but I will probably stick some LEDs or neons in there.
I am quite new to all Car Audio stuff so I am definitely not an expert, but I was highly recomended to get PoweBass and I recon it sounds good. They are not really loud, but i guess I would get more out of them with better amplifiers. rear coaxials sound clean, tweeters seem to be of a really good quality and I am seriously happy with midbass 4XLs - they are quite lound and very clear. Sub would definitely use a better amp though.

Stapi incidentally I was talking to one of my boys whose been in texas a while. He says the PB xtreme subwoofers can give some of the big boys a run for their money. The amps are supposed to be decent too. Just a heads up

Excellent install, @stapi. Even your audio stuff has been done really well.

Air circulation might be a problem for the electronics, though. You should have drilled some holes in the perspex sheets to allow some air circulation.

Power Supply: M2-ATX
Monitor: CTF400-M
All running Windows XP and Centrafuse frontend.

I am planning to put some fans in there as I am aware that it might be a problem on a warmer day.

nice and clean setup dude, really like the placement of stuff in ur trunk, tell me something wouldnt it be more easier and clutter free to buy say a second hand laptop and take apart the screeen and the lower keyboard thingy which contains all the hardware, power it from the car batter using a 12v adaptor , use a slim small wireless kb or mouse if needed and attach the whole thing to a car lcd or use the stock one, i know its easier said than done but i guess this setup will be easier to set up and less prone to damage from shocks , right?

Yeah, it would be easier, but then, whats so satisfying & exciting in getting an already working, bolt on system fixed to your car? it cannot be called as a carputer project then.

@stapi: did you buy the display for 298 euros?
