we flew down from NYC for this concert. in fact a good potion of those on that flight (it was July of 198x - forget the year but i guess it was 85 or 86) for the Live Aid show and maybe it was the JFK stadium (one of the Kennedy boys - i'm not good at non audio details).

anyway I am/was a regular concert goer. Nothing like Live from Bard College Band (in Rhinebeck, NY) performing Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, etc.. to AC/DC at Giants Stadium to a 2 night stand by the Who at Shea to seeing Eic Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck together on stage (along with the most of the Stones) at Madison Sq. Garden for MS. Live is Live! nothing comes close. That last one was fun. there was so much talent on stage Joe Cocker was relegated to being the water boy! :-) nah just kdding. he opened with a Little bit of help for my friends (it was in honor of Ronnie Lane).

better than that was seeing Mr. Page subject his D'Addario-Ernie Ball combo to treatement with camel hair!

The MS concert was a 2 day affair.
Day 1 was EC's day and Day 2 was JP's day. Beck was chiilling most of the time maybe reserving himself for this old vocalist friend.

guys I lived in NYC all of the 80s. Allah required me to see every concert in town during my stay. I was promised 7 virgins when i got to heaven if i did! :-) I am sure anyone else whould have done the same under the same circumstances.
