I meant DLS are the "Ultimate" amps when it comes to Sound Quality!
Genesis is equally good too,but, as you made out service is a concern.

Hey, why not Steg? Are they much more expensive than these?

I have no idea about DLS and as EPIC confirmed there must be some problem with DLS and their distributor related to service and support, but i am sure there is no service concern with Genesis Amps.

@abhibh, karankapoor & Mi10 - This is exactly what I wanted to know about cleaner amps with less output. If so, I would love to have the DLS or Genesis but the lack of after sales is a concern.

@abhipuru16 - With regards to Steg, haven't they shut too?? Don't want to invest in something with a high cost if God forbid something goes wrong and would be a headache to get parts later.

I dont know about Dls after sales service but as far Genesis is concern they do have a authorized distributor/importer in Delhi so getting your amp serviced or repaired will not be an issue.

Sorry Epic, no idea about whether Steg shut down their operations. I heard them in LBM's setup and they are extremely clean sounding.
But, I actually doubt what you just said. Just a few months back, GTO replaced his Civic's amps with Stegs. I think he got them from Ajay Kamath (bass&trouble). Contact GTO and bass&trouble to clear your doubts.

What i remember it was posted by navin ji in a thread that steg amps will not be available in the market anymore, So i doubt he can get maybe from the old stock.

Yes, i think worrying about after sales of a Genesis amp should be last of your concern.

DLS is hitting a rough patch in distribution all over India. Not sure why ?

Thank you for all the replies which are helping me to a large extent in clearing many doubts. Obviously it is confirmed that DLS are having issues and Stegs available today are clearance of old stock.

However, I haven't got any of your thoughts on the Audison amps. They have amazing reviews all over the world and if I'm not mistaken, they are distributed by Kumars.

I don't know why everyone is harping about áfter sales and service for amplifiers. If they are installed well, they can provide clean power for years on end. No harm in getting an amp without a warranty. Make sure it's a good amplifier, to start with and then be doubly sure it is installed well. Period.
That should put an end to this faff about an amp not being purchased JUST because it's got a falling service network or the amp is going out of stock or it is OLD stock. NOTHING of this sort holds true for amplifiers. They will hang on to their lives till you want them to.

UNless you go in for brands like V12, Audiobank, Alphine, Panasoniccs etc
