I started from versova at 3.45am in my 1987 gypsy,I had done full tank of petrol one night earlier. Actually I wanted to start at 6.00am but woke up wide awake at 3.00am told my wife to make a strong tea and said goodbyeto her.
First forceful stop at vapi due to traffic jam at 6.00am saw tourist buses of Ahmedadbad stranded in the traffic.Buses which started one night earlier fro mumbai for Ahmedabad and by this time they should have been near to Anand.

I engaged gypsy in 4WD and took extream left kutcha road and covered about 22kms in that way without any problem and then saw that Iwas first one to come out of that dammn jam, reason of the jam was a small accident among two trucks and ADIBAJI between them.
Next halt was Baroda had food and top up of petrol tank.
Finally next halt at ABU ROAD bypassing Ahmedabad Sarkhej etc.Ijust went to the hotel I used to regularly stay when ever I was going to Abu Road by train, took bath and sat down for a heavy meal of chicken and Kababs and makhni daal, along with beer as a compony , called home I HAVE REACHED.Best part I was not at all tired ,infact next day morning I was at my work site to attend to a meeting, where others were not present thinking I will come late. Thanks to my Gypsy and its performance.

Now a sad part of the story I had to sell her since I got my New Tata Sumo and as usual there was parking space problem in my bld.
You should post this in Maruti Website. Probably they need to add another measurement mentioning your achievement.

In a Gypsy with Road Jam 92KMPH speed.

LMFAO.

Have done umpteen number of trips Bangalore - Chennai - Bangalore earlier and now Chennai - Bangalore - Chennai. Typical start would be at 4 in the morning and come back home by about 11 in the night after attending work between 10 and 5. The total distance would roughly be about 750 - 800 kms depending on my work in the city.

Did Mahableshwar - Chennai in Oct. '08 about 1150 kms, started at 5.00 in the morning, breaked at Belgaum for about 4 hours to meet my distributor and see a few outlets, then in one go reached Chennai at 2.30 in the morning next day. Except for 75 kms which my colleague drove between Chitradurga and Sira, the entire distance was done by me.

Covered 1150 kms in about 17.5 hours of driving time which included passing through Bangalore ORR at around 9.30 on a weekday evening.
