That V must stand for Vendetta. Absolutely tasteless behavior, and the bikers were trying to become exactly what they hated about the Toyota Corolla - the sadak ka baap. Have a camera will record - no matter how they'd come across, and the minute I knew it is in Delhi I knew what would come out of their mouths when they're angry.

What on earth were they trying to do surrounding and circling the car making hand gestures towards the driver to behave? Somehow do they think they are the guardians of road rules? But that can't be as is evidenced by the way they themselves were riding. More disturbing is the text : "Decided not to go after him because the rest of the group had taken the left turn and were unaware of what happened at the back", go after how? This should be hooliganism at its finest.

Video reported for every violation possible, I don't get easily offended, not at all.. but this one simply is devoid of any logic or reasonable human behavior possible, LET GO AND DRIVE/RIDE. I've seen similar instances myself, their abusive behavior and 2 riders even filmed me when I merely honked 2 times for them to give way because they were hogging the lane and going at literally 20kmph on the right, I can give the abuse right back but then I don't want to stoop to their levels of immaturity, it helps no one in the end.

Was witness to a road rage incident yesterday near Jayanagar metro around 5.30pm.

A private car and cabbie (etios) were involved. I don't know how it happened, but it appeared like the cabbie had a broken plastic outer cover of LH ORVM, not sure of the damage to the other car. I think the family in the car (father, son and mother) were out of the car, trying to negotiate and at some point the cabbie had assaulted the father. The son(early to mid 20s) was all riled up and wanted to have a go at the cabbie, and his parents were trying hard to hold him back.

Also, post assault the crowd that had gathered was shouting at the cabbie for hitting a senior citizen. At some point the son got lose and landed a few punches before the cabbie retaliated, and just at that time a SI rushed to the spot and calmed things down which is when I decided to leave.

I hope the family filed a assault case against the cabbie, so he'd think twice before hitting any other person in future, let alone a senior citizen all for a part which won't cost him more than 1k.

Think what you may, but road cases escalating to court room is nothing but another speck of dust on the white uniform of cabbies. Nothing will happen. Social status and economic strength is always taken into consideration and leniency is shown shamelessly.

Mob justice should have prevailed in that spot for the cabbie. I am not for violence, but when an assault happens especially on a senior citizen, public should intervene and teach a lesson in manners.

Right to self defense is a universal right.

What to do in such situations, when the people involved in road rage are cops?

Quote:
A 30-year-old man has alleged that he was brutally beaten by police personnel on Thursday night after his car touched their bike in Rohini. The police, however, have denied the charges.

Amit, a resident of Rohiniís Sector 11, was on his way home around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday night when his car brushed against the policemenís bike. He alleged that he was then taken to Prashant Vihar police station, where he was beaten up by four police officers through the night before being let off the next morning. He also alleged that he had to pay a hefty amount to be released.

He was then taken to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rishi Pal, meanwhile, said that Amitís complaint had been received. The DCP said that according to a medical examination, he was injured after he fell while walking in an inebriated state. ďHis medial exam shows he was drunk. There were no injuries, except an abrasion on the arm that happened when he got out of his car and could not maintain his balance since he had consumed alcohol,Ē the DCP said.

This is where Dash cam videos come into play. Increased use of video recording devices in public is helping so many people show the level of corruption and public issues.

Hope you saw the recent mobile video of cops shamelessly asking people for money in a passenger train which was broadcast by news channels leading to disciplinary action on those rogues.

All channels are ready to show any govt in bad light at anytime. Its their bread / butter / jam.

Indicab and UVA driver got into a spat in the middle of the road and kept trying to block each other off. In the end, both stopped by the side of the road with a very "you-just-see-what-I-do-now" expression on their respective faces, but I drove off and not sure what was the conclusion (if any).

No use getting into spats with Pune cabbies, most in this part of the town (IT park) are owned by local Politgoons and gang up on other motorists, beat up cops and what not.

Didn't understand why the Indica driver got so aggressive. The UVA driver was not driving extra slowly or blocking but rather just following the buses in front.

Saw this on FB. It happened on 21 June in Chennai outside Anna university. The road rager's vehicle is a 2009 Silver Skoda Laura TN10X3298. The passenger travelling in the car has posted this and she has tagged the CCTP and the commissioner of Police. Let me see if anything happens.

Basically he wanted the cabbie to give him space on a bridge that has only one lane in each direction because he was late for a meeting. I got so frustrated reading the ordeal the Ola driver had to go through (victim).

Let it even be the case that the cabbie cut in front of him while getting on the bridge, it is a slight right onto the bridge. Still this is not the way to react. You cannot block his car, drag him out, tear his shirt and hit him till he bleeds.

This incident reminded me of the video of the cabbie explaining how people are like garbage trucks. This guy was so full of it.

MODS I felt the need to protect the ID of the person that posted this on FB. But if you see it fit for the link to be shared here I shall post it in a subsequent post.

The Indica driver tried to squeeze up the rear of the UVA when he took a rather wide(ish) turn earlier, and assumed he was trying to box him in as the UVA tried to get back into his lane. Being the small mind that he was, he thought the best way possible to get back at him was to race up ahead and cut across him , and keep blocking him until he was forced to stop and come out. Not sure if they came to blows after stopping though. Hope they didnt.

I was driving through my locality on a single lane road. A green Tvs Apache with two guys without helmet was was coming like a rocket from behind. I saw them in the ORVM and and let them pass me safely.
An i20 was just ahead of me. The I20 driver failed to give the bike enough space to overtake, so those guys braked hard and fell down. It was a fairly congested road. The biker guys ran and stopped the I20 and started abusing the driver.
The I20 driver was at no fault. They started banging the car and suddenly one guy took a brick from the road side and shattered the rear windshield of the I20.
The car was driven by a middle aged driver and the occupants were a lady with her kid and an old man in the front seat. They got nervous and shaky.
I got down from my car and asked the I20 driver to come out with me and note down the bikes registration number. When he came out and the biker saw, i am a local of that area, his tone was down and tried to flee from the place. I some how blocked the bike and the I20 driver clicked the pic of the registration plate and the biker some how managed to flee.
The driver and the occupants were still shaky. I reassured them not to worry and escorted them to the local police station and asked them to file a case against the biker. Once we reached the police station the old man thanked me and i left the spot.

That was very nice of you to help them out Samba. Most of the people do not admit their fault and always blame the others for their mistakes. But as long as the argument is verbal it is fine. This is taking to the extreme that too when there is a kid involved.

Hope the police take the bikers to task and they get the punishment they so deserve.

You did the right thing sir
Appreciate your cool head for making way of those reckless bikers and also helping those in need in a calm fashion. Wish there were more people on the roads like you.

Today in one of the side roads of Bangalore. I'm not sure why this man was in such a hurry. There was a queue of vehicles waiting for a truck to enter a warehouse when our man, jumps the queue and tries to cut in front of me. I would have let him, but I had not noticed him. Then He starts blaring the horn from behind me. I stick near the median giving him space to overtake from the left, but he stays behind. He continues honking startling the people around so I stop. He comes on to my left and starts elocuting in flawless Kannada using flowery words. I just wonder why these things happen.
Just to inform, I was on my way to pick up my kids from school. All the school bus drivers are known to me and some even are my patients. So I don't think I was in any real danger.
