Hey,
Driving back from Manali, i saw the road was blocked and the villagers said, there's another way .. It led to a bridge , all wood.. I saw a Hero Honda pass and followed it . It only when I got there did i see what i was in. The whole bridge was shaking with the weight of the car and I thought i could even hear one of the planks creaking.. I was in for a lot of water.. but luckily, i managed.. when i got to the other side, a big board read; " yeh bandh keval padyatrion ke liye hai", i.e This bridge is only meant for pedestrians. By order SP..

There is hardly any metal here. A safari which was behind me climbed but had to reverse as the wood started giving in.

Cheers,
dMH

this is one serious issue.
consider yourself extremely lucky that the bridge didn't caved in with weight of your car.
donot repeat this thing again, ever!

Man that was one helluva risky step you took there! Were you alone in the car?

If I am not wrong, there is a similar narrow bridge with no side rails enroute from Valparai to Athirapally water falls. Been through the road a long while ago when I thought the M Zen was invincible.

the bridge is almost under water each time it rains and there is no marking where the bridge starts or ends. Some one has to prod with a stick to find out.

Holy cow, that's one scary crossing. That sign should have been posted on both sides of the bridge(and in english too.)

Yeah I was alone coz my gf stepped out to click the last picture before i fell . Bridge is somewhere after Kullu.
No idea why it says killer. Must be some history to it.
