| Saw this today afternoon. Dont know how it happened or whether anyone was hurt.Bystanders told me that the driver lost control, while someone told me that the driver deliberately did it because his brakes had failed. There was a huuuuge crowd gathered, and the police were trying to shoo everyone away. If its bad, we will get to read about it in tomorrows paper. I hope we dont. ![]() |

| Where exactly in pune could you give details. Hopefully as the picture suggests it is not that bad and does not make it to tomorrows papers. Last edited by rahul_intlad : 29th September 2006 at 16:13. |

| It happened on Sinhgad Road, just after the cement road starts beyond the new bridge. |

| BHPian | so PMT's started livin upto its reputation once again i guess... Anyways, hope its not as bad as it looks -- its quite likely the 'brake failed' situation but as it is a PMT + Sinhgad road ( = lethal combo ), i am keeping my fingers crossed. PS: @ sajo --- you never get bored while going to college .. eh ?? |

Nice one there! Saw this on my way to college. When I was returning home around 20 minutes later, a "breakdown" vehicle was getting into position to pull the bus out. The breakdown van, btw, was just another PMT bus emptied of its occupants. @amey, you are right. The buses are so badly maintained, have seen many a times one of them breaking down in the middle of the road, and all the passengers and bystanders struggling to push it to the side. Situation made worse by the bad roads. | |

| BHPian | Well considering the fact that so much funds are needed by the management for you know what,it is pretty evident not much is left for maintaining the Buses. ANyways, the morons @ PMT should be taken for a 1 day tour of BEST maintainence stations, hoping they get some hints, clues, ideas on how to maintain buses. |

| It was in the papers today : the bus had swerved hard to avoid a scooterist who had suddenly changed lanes. One passenger in the bus was hurt. |
