I had the money & i wanted to pay an advance after i take a look at the service records. The stupid sales girl said they were closing & that i can come back the next working day which we did.

If the car was for me, i would have paid the advance anyways. Since i was taking a decision for my friend, i did not want to find any surprises in the car after i had advanced.

Congrats on the VTEC. Rare find. I searched desperately for VTEC and settled for 1.5 EXi instead. Great car. Can you get the limited edition golden logos on the black one? It will look even more beautiful. Or get the existing ones gold plated? Black and Gold is deadly look on the VTEC.

That was the reason you were not charged that 15k on top of your friend's offer. Smart owner looking for repeated customers.

Did you finalized the prices on Sunday?

Did they charged any commission on the sale value?

The prices were discussed but were never going to be an issue. 4.8 was the giving price on sunday. Yes, 1.5% commission was paid, Rs.7200/-.

Have a related topic: On Sunday I found a Black VTEC in Pune at a dealer. Not sure if it is allowed to type the plate here, but a Black VTEC with Mumbai number of 100 is unique enough, I guess. Does anyone know it??

It had done 83,845km, 2001 March, 2nd owner, but was on 3rd party insurance. It was maintained OK, not as clean as what E_L found, there were some nicks. The engine had couple of bolts/screws missing. (Engine job?) The engine top plate was shining as new. Hmm? More doubts. Quoted 4L, but quickly mentioned about an almost fixed deal at 3.5L. So that is the asking, I guess. All stock.

What kind of repair jobs can happen on the VTEC? How bad a risk is this? I could probably find the service record from Honda chaps in Pune (there is only one), but the car may not be kept here at all.

If anyone knows anything about this car can you please let me know? If such *reports* are not allowed, PMs would work great as well. Thanks!

PS: Sorry E_L, to poke my head into your thread.

The guy is totally averse to computers. i think i could easily make him sell his vtec than make him join this forum. Probably his wife might. Lets see.
