Saw a Renault Duster with no MH 12 MR Sing unluckily I could not click it. Sing was 51*6 most probably 5126 or 5156. Tried checking both nos with VAHAN RTO SMS, but the first one shows a Kwid while the second shows a Sail.

Hey this is a good one. Is it meant for the folks inside (being carried) or the ones carrying them

Maharashtra has probably the best number plate concept designers. Lots of good concepts I have seen. Sharad, Dada, Nana, Aai, Raj, etc.
Since past 5 years I am in Chennai. Things are better here and in Kerala where 99.9% of the people go with standard number plates. However I miss those designs here and in Kerala.

A proud Kannadiga who writes in English!
Probably because there are no punches for embossing Kannada letters

Also if he writes in Kannada, non-Kannada guys won't understand his stance.

No prizes for guessing the allegiance of the owner of this car! The "J" as has been written in the Tamil font with the party colours as well!

Not to miss the position of the wheel as well!

Sorry. 2 of my numbers are missing on the rear number plate, but you can check the front plate. Those missing numbers are written there.

I saw this strange registration at Simla in 2008. I thought it was strange for a contemporary car to have a 3 letter + number registration such as this one.

Would anyone know what this registration may have been?

It's an old number. One that has been transferred on to a new vehicle when the old vehicle was deemed not usable and sold for scrap.
You see a lot of these examples in Punjab as well.

My guess is that it is TN 59 BK 5191. One part of the 9 being reused with the second digit "1"
These guys should be booked!
