Default "Mobile Court" have you been there, i have!

Well lets see how do i begin today’s most wonderful day!

( sorry for the seriously bad quality images, stupid nokia 6230i cam )

I get up from bed, don’t even bother to wash my face and go online team-bhp start posting!
Finally after a hour or so I realize I just got up so I getup have a bath and get back to browsing, next thing dad says to get some money from the bank which is in the city 12 km exact.

So I just get ready and hustle of to the bank
On the way 5 km from home I get pulled over by 3 crazy A** cops standing in middle of the road guiding my vehicle next to a Mobile court, I wasn’t worried as I had all papers with me so I thought
I exit my car and suddenly remembered a thread I read a day ago regarding keeping the car keys in your pocket, so I did just that!

The cop trys to brake my number plate of shaking it up and down, wanted to smash his face rite their.

Then tells me I have to fine you as you have a plastic number plate, I said so what if its plastic, apparently there is a rule in kerala for using steal plastic plates where as in delhi plastic is allowed and not steal!

Next he asks all my paper work so I hand them over!

He then asks me something I have not heard of where is pollution control;
I realize I am done for it! As I read in team-bhp it has to be taken after 6 months or a year of purchase!

I stood as still wondering how I could forget such a lame thing!
Well now got worried what am I going to be fined?

The guy takes me behind this bus thing and jots down something on to a big piece of paper I later realize its details of me and the car!

He then escorts me to another Bus the so called “MOBILE COURT”

Now this was fun it was exactly like a court, there was a questioning box where I was seated and questioned regarding the car owner and where I was headed!

All this time staring rite into the eyes of the judge who felt uncomfortable!
As though I knew some big secret of his
Within 5 minutes he says 200 rs and of you go

So I oblige gave him the 200 bucks.

Now the biggest part i was doin 130+ and came to a screeching halt they never even bothered to question me regarding that!

So how many times have you guys gone in and out of such a court & for what all have you got tickets for!

Hehe...

Xinome, where were these guys parked?

My father was caught once and was fined for 'fancy number plate' once.

I have seen such vans parked in other cities, but I didn't know they were used as a mobile court.
Guess its as practical as wanting to finish off a traffic violation/incident right on the streets. get into trouble,go to the court, over & done with.

Man, i never knew cops would fine you if you did not steal. LOL.

On a serious note, taking photos without the permission of the judge inside a court is a damn serious thing, hope you are aware of that too.
cheers

been in it once ( dont remember for what charge). They have desks, godrej alamarah etc too in there. It like a one stop shop and its swift. Go in, get bill, pay fine. Go back to driving.

and about the pix, make sure its legal to do so.

It happened to me once for having designer number plates in my bike. But had a good bargain from Rs.500 where i ended up payin Rs.100
The second time was for my frend. He was stopped for over speeding, and was fined Rs.400 which the cop asked to pay in the 'mobile court'. I took the receipt from him, and tried finding the mobile court, when i cud'nt find it, walked across and asked the cop where the court was? to which he said we have to pay him and that he'll pay the court. What next? bargain again!

i agree what you said about the brakes of the alto

day before yesterday i was doing 125 with around 10 km speedo error and for one second i closed my eyes and the next thing i knew the roundabout was coming closer every second i braked had and the car came to a screeching halt about a 20 cm away from the roundabout and the amount of smoke from the tires was so much wish i had taken pics but i was checking my passenger out
i am running 185 60 r 13 tires

in the end me and my passenger were amazed by the brakes of the car

Xinome / Mods please take down the pic of the judge. IT IS CONTEMPT OF COURT TO PHOTOGRAPH COURT PROCEEDINGS. THE MOBILE COURT IS A COURT OF JUDICIAL MAGISTRATE OF CLASS 1. Delete this thread too. NOW!!!

Xinome, that photograph of TR5 does not, and will not specify the provisions you were charged for. It is the other paper - one on A4 or foolscap size paper which will specify the offence. THe offence will be sometimes printed and the relevant offence will ticked.
In mobile courts, you can always not plead guilty and then go to the regular court to plead guilty or pay the fine, as you please.
And I am not sure fo any law which specifies that plastic number plates cannot be used. The only law on number plates is about the one on security numberplates, and it has not been notified to be enforced yet.

Manik - What also matters at times is not just the size of the tyres but also what tyres you are using. Grippy tyres can make a hell of a lot of difference in your braking distances.

This Mobile court thing is kindaa cool man.
Just get caught, face trial and get punished hahahaha
Quick enough and guess it is better paying against a receipt from a court than to cop without any receipt.
