Errr... What?

Looks like an offer of something illegal to me. I felt certain that the innocent explanation must be plain in the Tamil text, but Mrs N said that whilst she thought the shop was advertising for staff, she couldn't be sure.

Literacy not a requirement, eh? Odd... because I've always found that the staff in that shop do speak good English.

Just for the record, I think I worked it out. The supermarket, with mostly English-speaking staff, has a corner given to some people selling fancy hair clips and the like... Accessories .

Spotted this Auto Rickshaw on Airport Road.

How do you stick a bell on a wall? Pics of Quirky Signs-img_20170106_224854.jpg

This one has a real meaning to it.

Translating from Kannada to English for benefit of Non-Kannada BHPians.

"Saalagarara Aashirwaada, Baddidhaarara Prothsaha" , which means

(Lender's Blessings, Interester's Encouragement)

I am not able to recollect the correct word for Person who collects Interest. Hence have used Interester.

Not only do they offer Ladies 2 Ladies , but also class-less ? Does it mean they have no class or they don't have classroom training ?

Borrower isn't the right word. Baddidhara means one who collects interest. In Kannada, Interest (In case of loan) is known as Baddi.

I am not sure if Borrower fits him.

I think there is no word for it.

This stone was laid during the inauguration of a Foot Path by a Minister.
It mentions Foot Path as Food Path. LoL!

There are many such hoaxes being circulated. It is unfortunate that many believe these to be true!

I saw this at a branch of the Indian Overseas Bank at Chennai.

"CUSTOMERS CAN GET THEIR ACCOUNT BALANCE BY GIVING A MISCALL TO 9210622122 FROM THEIR REGISTERED MOBILE"

While I do accept that Indians were the "inventors" of the Missed Call and have also created business models using the same, I wonder what a "Miscall" is now!
