In Bangalore, on Outer Ring Road, the junction in front of INTEL must be one of the most UN-INTELLIGENT junctions.

If anybody wants to know how SERVICE roads can mess up a junction, this is it. Go watch the ballet performance from 5 pm to 6 pm. You'll be amazed how idiotic we can be....with traffic from 8 directions (yes, EIGHT including the service roads) criss-crossing in ALL POSSIBLE directions.

I'd like to know who really is the idiot who thought of service roads joining the main roads AT THE JUNCTION. I have a simple question for him / her.
Which signal am i supposed to follow if i'm on the service road?

In Pune:

1. Holkar bridge is a nightmare during peak hours. I dread passing through this.
2. The signal near Jehangir hospital is a mad-house.
3. Hadapsar road. 4-laner but awful traffic.

I am sure there are many more. However, I must confess its not as bad as in Mumbai or Bangalore.

One slight workaround for the Juhu Galli bottleneck - only works while going from the SV road/Andheri East side though. When coming down from the Andheri flyover, turn left onto SV road instead of going straight onto Juhu galli. A little further along, you'll see a small lane turning right (on the corner is a Barista). Turn into the lane. It comes out close to the other end of Juhu Galli and saves you a substantial part of the traffic jam. This lane has saved my sanity many a time

Default Khardung La Pass

When traffic builds up during rush hour at the Khardung La Pass at over 18,000 feet things can get a little tense. Make a little mistake and it is a long way down.

Bangalore:
----------
--> Maratahalli - Outer Ring Road Junction
--> Sarjapura Rd - Outer Ring Road Junction
--> MG Road - now that Metro construction has started
--> Old Madras Road - near KRPuram station. Pure hell every morning and evening
--> Tumkur Road

Ernakulam, Kochi:
-----------------
--> Manorama Junction - South Flyover. A perennial mess
--> MG Road - the last time i travelled 3km in one hour on a weekday afternoon
--> NH47 @ Chalakudy - Hell on Earth.... The last time I was stuck there in a 6km jam for 1.5 hours. Same length queue of traffic on the other side

Yes Jaibir, I know this detour but these days , people have gotten smarter and this road is jammed too. Have experienced this twice already.

I think we have forgotten the Silkboard flyover junction on the ORR, its very chaotic and I have been stuck in that junction even at 11pm for more than 30 minutes.

It gets even worse if it rains, one of my friend took 3hr 15 minutes to travel 9kms from his office to his home through this junction. He left the office at 10:20PM and reached home by 1:35 AM
