Yes. My friend has a black esteem and it bears the number "013". 13 is his lucky number.

BTW i paid 1.5k in 2003 to get "279" as the regn number for my car. Tried to get 9999/999/99/9 but was told its not possible/very expensive.

The number is more like a identity in my town. So all our cars from 1982 onwards have been "4740". Must have around 20-30 such registrations I guess.

9 is the last in the series of unit numbers, so has the reputation of being the 'biggest' number - kind of the 'be all and end all' number. People opt for this number without understanding its significance. They should go for this number if it matches with their name-number.

On the other hand, 9 is also the number representing Mars - the warrior, the fighter. Guess everybody got the point!

Most of our family cars bear 7777 or similar single digit numbers. My 800 is 2222, Innova is 9999 (ain't that expensive compared to 7s), E220cdi was 1111, LC, Accord and E250d all are 7777.
I was never a number fan, nor I have bought a brand new car yet. So, my cars all have different number plates from different states, like PB, TN, KA, GA to KL. It seems like another GA is going to be added to my garage soon.

And this is not only for vechicle numbers. I saw a news few days back, where a 50 Rs note with the serial number of 786786 was Auctioned for 3 Lakhs.

My FIAT UNO - 3663
My FORD FIESTA - 6336

Now, that's what i call COOL .

When we booked the number 3663 for UNO 9 years back, the booking amount was Rs.500/- (though not sure)

When we went looking for a nice number for Fiesta 2 years back, we came upon 6336 and paid Rs.2000/-

Both the amounts were the minimum for getting a booked number, no auctions were involved.

Now, that's what i call LUCK

Hi arif,

> My FIAT UNO - 3663
> My FORD FIESTA - 6336

I had an Uno with 3600. My Innova was 6336.

> 9 years back, the booking amount was Rs.500/- (though not sure)
> 2 years back, we came upon 6336 and paid Rs.2000/-

Both the amounts are correct. You managed to miss the Rs 5000 period in our RTO.

I have had 864, 3003, 9003, 3600, 5544, 5400, 111, and 450.

My Cielo AT long back was 8595. So my present City CVT is 9585. Keeping it company is my Marina with 7722.
