We did around 2000 miles while doing a cross continent - USA in 2002. We were two drivers, 38 hours, lots of Red Bull and food/fuel breaks.
Occasional dozing off when done by the co-driver, lead the driver to shriek and wake up the co-driver and ask him for help in staying awake himself.

Mine is 810 Kms, TVM - Chennai non stop over the new completed highway recently. Started at around 3.30 AM, reached my sisters place at guindy by 6.30 PM. Breakfast we carried, lunch and coffee breaks in between.

Incidentally this was the only time I finished a full tank of diesel in my safari in a single day.

Mandsaur MP (about 84 km north of Ratlam on NH79) to Pune MH towards end of Feb 2010. 860 odd kms in my Xylo. started around 6 AM and rolled to a stop 11:00 PM. Plenty of breaks since this trip included family (Wife, 5 yr twins and dad). This is the longest (in hrs) I've ever driven in India.

Here's one of mine that I did on May 15th.
Chennai - Erode - Chennai of total 820 Kms; started from Chennai at 4:30 AM & returned home by 11:00 PM; that's 820 Kms covered in 18.5 hours including 3-4 hours of business & food.

2,000 miles = 3,200 kms! That's a heck of a long distance to complete without a break. What was the hurry? From where to where in the States, and what car?

I'm wanting to do an east coast -> west coast trip sometime. Rent a nice car, drive through small towns, take pitstops at whichever place we like...I'd factor in about a month's holiday and 3,000 odd miles of driving. There is no better way to know a country

Isn't this thread about doing maximum distance without a break in between? I see a lot of people quoting numbers with breaks.

Anyways, here's my entry for without any pee/water/food/rest/etc breaks :-

1. Bike (Pulsar220) - Chennai-Bangalore - 357Kms - 4.5 Hours
2. Car (Palio 1.2) - Mumbai - Someplace On NH4 - 380Kms - 5.5 Hours [This was enroute to Bangalore]

In the spirit of the thread.... Here's my entry for with breaks

1. Bike (Pulsar 220) - Bangalore-Mumbai - 1030Kms - 13.5Hrs
2. Car (Palio 1.2) - Bangalore - Anjuna - 720Kms - 14Hrs
