Definitely a big tour of interior Arunachal is what I am planning in may be a year or two time!!

Again, as said a number of times, you have set some serious benchmarks out here and your directions and instructions have helped countless others.

I planned a trip to Atunachal last winter but that did not happen unfortunately. I am yet to visit Namdapha and Pasighat, although I did Tawang (1 day drive from Tezpur) way back in 2001. I will attempt to do another Arunachal this winter.

Thanks for the compliment!

Has the planning started already? Do post about the route you would take and the places you are halting. Arunachal captivates any traveller - a vist there is a must.

Sagar-Trivandrum, 2300 kms, day 1 600 am-Day 2 12 midnight
Several Trivandrum-Bombay trips, 1750 kms each, 25 hours duration each

All trips non-stop without breaks, except for refuelling and piss halts

In bike,
Paro (Bhutan)-Keonjhar (Orissa) - 1300 kms, Day 1 500 am - Day 2 730 pm
Keonjhar (Orissa) - Bombay - 1500 kms, Day 1 600 am - Day 3 400 am

Several 24 hour plus trips on bike
simply amazing. what is most commendable is that not only you have travelled a lot but you tend to remember each and every place !!! I wont even be able to give directions to anybody for a trip which I made last month . In general I have seen that those who love to drive are not very good navigators (I am not defending myself or giving excuses for my poor navigational skills), but you have proved this wrong or as somebody says - Exception proves the rule

Other long drives I had were:

3,900 kms Kashmir (Srinagar)-Kanyakumari (and Trivandrum), over 4 days, with overnight halts at Panipat (Day 1), Sagar (Day 2) and Trivandrum (Day 4).

12,0000 kms during my Coast-2-Cape-Coast trip over 15 days with 1 day break (to service the Scorpio), and 2 over-24 hr drives.

10,000 kms over 18 days in a drive to North East India

And of course, as I mentioned before, the 2,900 km bike trip (100 cc Suzuki) from Bhutan to Bombay over 4 days (with 3 nights of driving, just 1 overnight break)

TOP 4

Sydney - Melbourne - 975 Kms (and back to Sydney also)
Bangalore - Coimbatore - Bangalore - 700+ (Same Day)
Pondicherry - Thanjavur - Bangalore - 600 Kms
Bangalore - Srisailam ~ 500 Kms

Normally I prefer stop over in the intervals of 300 to 400 kms. The above trips were done under some special circumstances, which given a choice I wouldn't have done.

Cheers

OT: But how do you drive it so long sitting in a single place? Needs lots of patience.
