KL 08 AN 4xx4 - Encountered a Skoda that goes like stink !!

KL 08 AN 4xx4 was the number and he was doing insane speeds on the Palghat - Thrissur stretch. I am not exactly a slow driver myself, but he made my Swift Vdi look like I was stationary. I thought of giving chase(in fact I was able to reach his tail after a few kms when he was hampered by traffic, but fell in a pothole and called it off - He was taking too many risks to my liking) .

What I would like to know is, was that car an RS or a plane Diesel? Hence this thread, hoping that a t-BHPian knows this car.

Think it's a red Skoda... I remember seeing that on my trips. I may be wrong though, the one I saw could be a different car.

Why not use the site discussed here (Kerala Motor Vehicle Dept Online), it might have the model details sent across to you along with the other information. Please post if you get the details.

I am positive that the number I have is right, but the site claims that the registration number does not exist. So I checked my bikes registration number, same result. What gives?

I think the color was brown, I maybe mistaken though.

Select the right RTO - you will find the details.

Yeah, I understood that after reading the other thread. But still no joy !

Maybe I got the number wrong after all....Or the number WAS wrong?

If it is a very new registration, they may not have entered it in the site. What is the latest registration in Trichur?

I believe the RS comes only in Red, Yellow, Silver and Black. It could have been a TPi Rider though.

Did it have a spoiler?

Skoda 1.9 diesels can put out close to 150 hp, so don't rule out the sticky stuff.

The way he was going, his wife would have delivered in the car itself, out of sheer fright.

skoda was after you in your dreams right, Pm mathew he would help you out he might have tuned that car ( i am not sure though).

Funny - someone else posted a link on another thread which had all 49 RTOs of the state. I could pick up car details from some very vague locations!
