Post My car, my buddy and I caught in beautiful monsoon rain.

After a long time it was a great evening drive in the monsoon rain, the best thing was I had my buddy BLB with me. There are very few people by looking at whom I feel very lively and love to spend more time with that companion, there are some who always try to crib about some or the other thing than trying to make best out of their living. One of such lively person in my life is my buddy BLB.

I had been to office for an IJP test after a long day, my test was held at 4 PM, as soon as I dropped in to office checked for the E-mails took the location details for test. Was going through the team-bhp as usual, checked my IM and noticed my buddy was online (there was a broad smile on my face) greeted over IM and informed about the IJP test, asked what time she would log out, she stay on the way to my house so thought I can get a company at least half the way. Messaged and was speaking generally and got reply saying she would be done with her work by 5:30 P.M. acknowledged the messages and headed to another building where I was supposed to take the test, call the person who was in charge and was told to wait for 15 minutes as he was expecting some more people to drop in. It was completely technical as it was for IT Support – Specialist, global IT. Took 45 minutes for me to complete the test and was happy, that was able to complete it.

Called BLB after test and asked what was her plans for evening, she said nothing much and asked same question to me, I was like hmm no, nothing much just going home, then BLB asked me so what else… (I was just dumb) told instead of taking cab, if you wish you can come with me I will drop you home, she told she will see me in 15 at parking. Thank god, as I got a company went to café and grabbed a fruit drink and a mineral water bottle and rushed to parking, my car was parked near the exit space and it was very cloudy, it stared drizzling called BLB and asked is it going to take long, came to know she was in elevator and was waiting, got a call after 3 minutes and it was BLB, hey I am in parking where are you? I don’t see the car.. I was like ha no car? I am near the exit area. Yes, even I am there, but I don’t see the car. Probed more and came to know BLB was in the main building exit, told her to be there and started the car, people in parking gave a look for the initial start wroom...

BLB noticed the car and bordered… started the conversation and the topic was about the accident that had taken place in IRR (lol it was not able to control the smile, but I did not have any other topic to start the discussion) take god by the time we stopped near Ejipura signal BLB asked whether was there anything to eat in this car as she was dam hungry. Told No, I don’t but have Mineral water, she have a stare and said oh thank. By then it had started raining, when near Mahindra showroom and it started raining bit heavily and AC was on, BLB was checking on radio station for good songs, as my player was not recognizing any CD from past 2 days. Finally both agreed to 91.9 and some real cool number were on, by the time we reached ezone in Koramangala, it started pouring like hell, It started raining heavily.

Told BLB what about going to Airlines for a tea and some snakes? BLB Airlines, now??? In this rain that too now? Are you not working tonight? (Me) Ya, I am working so what is that got to do with this? We can go to airline and drop you back home by 8. BLB, NO we are going somewhere close to home, I am off this Airlines thing for today. By the time we reached Koramangala RTO it took take 15 minutes, I just got down of the car in traffic and checked behind as I heard a noise, noting was had happened, but it sound was from the safari which was standing 3 feet far from my car. By then BLB checked the glove box and noticed her college ID card that she had left in the car when we had been to her college a week back for checking on some documents. Even though I knew that the ID card was there, just pretended as if I dint know about it. When I got back to car, BLB said she like to have Panipuri in some good place, by the time she told about Panipuri, we had crossed Jyoti Nivas College, and there is one best place near that college.

Then cancelled the plans of Panipuri and thought of going to coffee day in Jayanagar 3rd block, took the Bannergatta Road, when we were passing by oracle, we noticed a Honda City Vtec with neat fog lights, I think it was KC day and not the light force, BLB started telling about her trip to some hill station where the cab driver was struggling without the fog lights.

Will continue later as I am totally exhausted, have already finished 3 Red bull cans…

Thank God you did not go to the airline side and have snakes with tea - I don't know how that would have tasted.

Continue mate - 3 red bulls should have you flying around the place.

He meant snacks - it is quite common down south to see it spelt as 'snakes' on the name-boards of real small tea-shops.

Add me also to the list of dumbos who are not sure what these acronyms stand for.

EDIT : Wait, I think BLB stands for the name of the author's friend. He has given just the initials since he does not want to reveal the name. Perfectly logical.

@vinayvtec, just hope that the resident English teacher of tbhp does not chance upon this thread, because if he does, he is gonna run the full gamut of spellchecker/grammercheck on your post to undo the liberties you took with the Queen's language.

BLB still finding a meaning full definition, which will represent the character.

IJP means internal job posting.

KC day, I was referring to the KC daylighter (kchilites) which is one of the best fog light manufacturer. The jargon for KC daylighter is KC day, if I am wrong please correct me.

I am just caught with some work and not able to complete this thread, but will finish it by this weekend.

Lightbulb

Hi team, I am back again to continue my wonderful experience, I am off after a long stressful week, next two day I am just relaxing.

After we left kormangalo RTO signal, we headed towards forum road. By then I had probed BLB why she won’t like to go to airlines now and had got the answer, told her we can have good tea over there. She just with a smile and with mildly harsh tone told “I am off this airlines thing, we are going home”. At last I agreed and told her to navigate me to the Jayanagar coffee day, suddenly there was a question, don’t you know coffee day? Replied saying there are 3 coffee days in Jaynagar so you tell me which place is best. She asked me whether I will have bhajis/ vada, told I don’t mind, she asked me to take a left near Staples and told me to head straight, suddenly she realized, “Ho, this is a big car and we cant take in those small gully”, then she told we can go some where near to my house, but again she was concerned me going back to work at night and told we will go to some place near her house. I just smiled n told I know that, we will take the Christ college road so we can avoid the Forum traffic, she was happy as we cleared forum road with in 5 minutes, then took a left at dairy circle there was a huge traffic jam as accenture bus and cab’s were exiting from the company.

It started raining again, instead of switching on AC it had switched on the blower with the heater and the fog formed on the front glass, in that heavy rain a F1 swift driver was honking like a mad moron, BLB took the shining cloth out of the glove box and was wiping the glass, by then I turned on the AC and glass was clear. Swift guy was on my right, ahead of that road there is a new U turn that they have recently opened, BLB told me to keep to left so that we can make our way to Sagar Apollo road, papa our formula 1 driver dint know that there was a U turn got stuck behind a bus.

We then started speaking casually about how things are going in life and in office, BLB was admiring the car and I was happy with the Sean paul’s song which was playing in the radio, we noticed a Honda city Vtec near the petrol bunk which is near sagar Apollo, BLB was saying how adventures that guy must be as he had got fog lights on his car, I smiled n told that’s the current trend if you have seen the some of the swifts you will see 4 fog lights on them, she was also telling me about a trip to a hill station where the driver was struggling to drive with the normal headlight as the hill was filled with mist and fog.

Took Rajiv Gandhi hospital road, BLB asked me to take left near Pream’s house, in think after 2 lanes from there was bhaji/ vada vehicle which is famous in that area, we got down of the car and asked him for the Capsicum bhaji chat, he told just now he has started boiling the oil and will take about 5 minutes for things to get ready. BLB took me to the fast food which is opposite to the bhaji/ vada place and we took a rava idly and a pav bhaji, we were just chatting about office stuffs suddenly I say that road side mirror of my car was not closed, told BLB just a minute and rushed toward card and closed the side mirror so that people who will walk next to will not hit it, came back to the fast food, BLB told “how come I did not realize that mirror was open” just gave a smile and continued the conversation where we had stopped finished what we had bought to eat and headed toward Vada fellow.

As he had taken our order earlier he prepared Capsicum bhaji chat and gave us, BLB was remembering her college days and told she used to hang out with her friend in same place, also was remembering her stay in Bombay for 8 months, she was saying that every evening she used to have pani poori or vada when he was in Bombay. I got mineral water from the fast food we finished the Capsicum bhaji and also 2 massala vada, it was really good in that rain and cool climate.

Some local boys came done to have vada, they were looking wired so I unlocked my car and told BLB she can sit in the car, by the time I pay the bill. Before getting into the car, I was ducting out my shoes as I don’t like my car carpet to get dirty, she looked in and said god this is too much ha, told her its not like that, but I can drive with the shoes on as it make me even more tall and I get less leg room.

We pushed off from there, while we near the national college jayanagar asked her can we have coffee in coffee day, she said she would go to coffee day only to chit chat and not for a serious coffee, then there was a thunder question? How do I know you dude? I was like blank for a second, then she recalled old memory and she said we used to travel in the same cab right? I was like huff… at last she remembered, and then came to know she was kidding about the question she asked me.

We reached Gandhi bazar, n there was no power in whole area, we took the BMS college road, a autogara came in the opposite lane n blocked the road, I switched from head light to parking and just waited for him to go to right lane n make way for my car, full road was blocked by a small mistake of autogara. I was just revving car very slowly so that it will make the pleasant humming noise, we got a clear stretch where I tried to push the peddle to metal so we can get a real Honda tune , but a biker came in front of us n was not able to get the right note.

Our journey was about to end as BLB’s house was just 3 minutes drive. She check if she has left any thing in the car and took her kit, she told me to take the car slow in her road as it makes wroom sound, (but she like that sound) and was concerned about the neighbors I believe, dropped to her in front of her home and thanked her for giving some time to me, she replied with simile I will catch you in office tomorrow morning, was expecting a SMS at least but there was non, I know she don’t like to be formal.

After I dropped her took the seetha circle road and near the IBP bunk, a moron civic fellow came from back, as it was very dark he was not able to judge the length of this own car, and touched my car’s bumper, before I got done of the car that fellow got off his car and look at the bumper and apologized, he was a Dr I believe, I think I was driving the car at just 20-30 Km/ph, that guy had switched on only the parking light of this car, told him to use the high beam when he is close to a car so that nothing major happens. I used my mobile light and check the bumper twice there was not even a single scratch by god’s grace, took the ring road and then nice road and reached home. Was just speaking my mom about how the IJP test was and then I suddenly remembered that BLB last message over the IM was she had cough, and wanted to know the best syrup for it. I was like oh.. oh… we just added fuel to cough with bhaji/ vada. Immediately messaged the expectorant name and also told her that I would be writing a blog about this evening, still there was no acknowledgement from her. Got fresh and had a quick nap. By cab was at my home by 23:45.

Next day morning when she came to office message her and she was like not keep well da, whole night I had cough and now I am feeling sleepy, told her to visit a Dr. I was rapping up the last minute assignment, suddenly BLB IM popped up, “hey are you there”
Replied: yes I am
BLB: how can I become a member of team-bhp?
I was like WHAT???
BLB: Yes, da I am serious.
I was thinking how come a person said she had no interest in car n bike suddenly wanted to be a part of forum (I had spoken to her about the forum more than anything else)
She said she was speaking to her parents about me last night (no clue about what) also she thanked for a ride and spending time with her.

I have only few friends in my life with whom I spend time, but spending time with BLB was a different experience, I think I will not be able to forget that wonderful drive with her.
