well these are the kinds of accidents that day by day just make us more cautious and hope we all learn a lesson, when there is an itch to drive fast...think sensibly and logically and always belt up, plus in a car with an airbag, if you dont wear a seatbelt there is further risk of damage and whiplash injury...

That is one horrible crash. What was the need for them to speed up on that road, which is so risky???
Anyways, whats happened has happened.Nothing can be reverted.Hope people learn something after this crash.

very lucky dint take any more people with him....luck/ god was with the other three.
the lancer looks bad but cabin is good for a topple...expected it to be totally crushed in for that speed...
Speed thrills but kills. What he would have gained in rallying at that speed, life is lost here. Very SAD to read the post.

Guys,
i do not think this is an Invex.
The Invex had a single unit light not 2 units (indiactor and light seperate).
It also does not come with airbags.

That is an airbag. It's clear that it's come out from the center of the steering (where the airbag is usually situated).

Talking Does the Lancer have airbags

But shan does the invex have airbags?? The dealer still is telling me it doesnot?!? And as far as the advertisements go they dont say that airbag is there?? But in the pic it surely looks like a airbag. Is it a aftermarket?

Well if the company isn't giving an airbag as OE then it has to be an aftermarket one. The point is that the car that crashed did have an airbag.

That accident was a really horrible one, hope others learn from this one atleast. Mitsu Lancer has very bad safety ratings and even that can be one reason for this, though it was mainly due to the drivers carelessness.

I agree with Shan2nu, the car clearly has airbag.
Aftermarket airbags? Im hearing it for first time! You may get it done, but any one would rather spend money on alloys and tyres and not airbags!!
