Is this good for a stock Esteem ? How much difference will I see if I install headers and freeflow and is is worth it if I use the car mainly for day-to-day in city commute ?
isn't the esteem limited to 165???

Damn, just figured out how I managed 180kmph after reading a few other posts. The last stretch of the freeway was slightly sloping downhill, I guess that contributed to the top speed :( But hell it was such a rush !!

Manage a shade higher than 170 kmph in my corsa 1.6 quite regularly on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway (New Ajmer Bypass near Jaipur). Beautifully safe stretch to unleash those horses

My speed:
Maruti Alto - 140kmph (Bangalore - Krishnagiri NHAI stretch)
Toyota Corolla 1.8E - 160kmph (Al Ain to Sharjah, UAE)
PT Cruiser - 110mph(~180kmph) (Cannon Beach to Portland, Oregon, US)

I do these speeds only when there is enough space and no traffic. And none of these were redlines driving - was gradual pull; except for Alto.

With Alto, most of the driving starts at 4am and hence the roads are as clear as it can get. Try to cover the distance of Bng to Krishnagiri (~100km) under an hour and usually do! :-)

[quote=LandCruiser;332561]My top speeds:

Santro: 150kmph
Fiesta: 170kmph
IKON: 150kmph
Impala: 120mph
Audi A4: 230kmph

I got only the pic of 170kmph in my fiesta. This was taken few months back.

A clear picture!

The tacho show approx 4900 rpm and the fiesta tops at 6500 rpm, correct me if I am wrong, which will mean that one can go beyond 170 kmph on the Fiesta 1.6, experts please shadow some light on it.
