Hey V1p3r,

Welcome aboard!...(how about an intro in the intro section!)

Good point there.... however i wonder what exactly the problem with CD's muffler was.
If it was all rusted up, its probably better to just get it replaced, however i seem to remember his car being failrly new? cd...?

my speeds...

M-800 - 120kmph (one of the scariest)

Esteem - 165kmph (exhaust, airfilter, and optimistic speedo)

Astra - 150kmph (wanted to get down and push)

Rotax max - 72mph (scariest )

RD350 - 160kmph (and promptly engine siezed because I let go of the throttle)

R6 - 286kmph (Indicated...my guess is -5% around 272)

most of these were on the L&T road in Coimbatore.

The R6 speed was on a slight downhill (coming down from a bridge.)
I hadn't screwed on one of the plastic pieces properly(fuse cover). At around 240, it just flew off and hit my arm. Almost lost it in shock, as I didn't know what happened.

Stopped doing these speed runs when a dog crossed as I was touching 230. Couldn't do anything, except pray...any attempt at avoidance, and I would have lost it. I think it heard the noise and just moved away.....never again.

286 on Indian roads? Is there any plain desert in Coimbator? Anyway, good to know that you stopped doing it.

160+ on indica DLS on a long downhill straight. Hosur road after Hosur, about 30kms. Speedo if the indica finishes at 160, and i could see the needle approaching zero. Not scary until i saw the speedo. The car was glued to the road. And this is with stock ZVTS.

Somehow, I doubt that!

Is it stock? Were you on level ground?

Ofcourse, it's highly optimistic. A friend of mine in Hubli also saw 210kmph on his ikon 1.6. It's true speed is 169-170kmph.
