Default 145 on a fUSION

I clocked many 145 bursts on the Himmatnagar - Udaipur road. Lovely road to speed and fusion could lick turns at 110 without skidding.

I clocked 130 in my Ikon 1.3L. At that speed Steering wheel is shaking(may be due to weak wheel balancing).
Not sure whats the max limit I can push.

Hey Avinash I know it's not good and I don't do it normally. I have photographs taken by friends sitting with me but they all are at speeds of 170 odd. I was doing this speed and simply couldn't resist taking the pic. I know a little bit irresponsible but well I can take a risk once in a while. Thanks for the advice anyway!

i dint want to sound too cautious... but, at speeds like that, it is adviceable not to take such risks...
... anyways... forget it dude.... no problems, coz you sound pretty down to earth, and i know you would have been pretty sure of what u did.. anyways...

all speeds are speedo readings and not true speeds:
karizma: 135kmph
zen:160kmph
ikon 1.6:195kmph
siena 1.6:198-200kmph
all above speeds were attained withoud a/c,with only me driving, and on the noida-greater noida expressway.

Lucky bugger!
One of my colleagues was ticketed along with court appearence @ $400 in Louisiana for doing a Ford Explorer @ 101.2 MPH (Police laser speed detector and was printed on the ticket). I was on the passengers seat and was driving 10 minutes before the incident @ 70 MPH :-).

On sunday, at the moto extreme, I touched 155mph[248kmph] on the expressway.Didnt have the nerves to try and go further. Could possibly touch 160mph and thats the speed limiter on the car, the Subaru-STI.

just a query for the experts:considering my car is running on wider rubber and bigger wheels won't the speedo indicate a lesser speed than it would have if i was running on stock tyres.
for example if my city was running on stcok 13 inch rims and 175 rubber wouldnt the speedo indicate more than 188?

actually, the tyres won't affect the speedo-read, only the actual speed; if you have bigger tyres, the car would be travelling faster, but the speedo-read won't be affected, since the speedo's connected to the gearbox; the gearbox revs tell the speed, not the wheel...which means that if you're doing 185 kmph in a stock setup, your actual speed might be 185 or so, but if your wheels are bigger and your speedo is showing 185, you might be going faster than that, like 190...
