I thought i would keep away from this thread for a while as my speeds are nowhere close to you guys. Anyway i decided to post them.
Ok now this is a bit shameful.........

90 kmph on my NSR 150 SP (previous bike)

100 kmph on my CBR 400.

Aweful! isn't it?

Dan.

p.s - There is no mistake in the speeds nor the in the mode of measuring.

Last Wednesday on my way to Pune this truck suddenly started changing lane....
Our Ford Ikon white cab was doing 130+
Just anticipate the distance from our cab to the truck..
Cab started fish tailing... Phew.. reached there for the meeting in time though.

I think its harder to go slow on a sbk than it is to go fast...atleast my many speeding tickets led me to that conclusion!

The question 'why' only 100 kmph is answered below.

1. Basically i'm a city rider and you all know its not possible to reach three digit speeds in the city.
2. Everyone knows the capabilities of these superbikes so i don't have to really test it out myself.
3. Finally i like to cruise around at slow speeds rather than ripping it hard.

So i may be different from other bike riders but thats the way i'm. guys

hey Dan400, can u let us know the whereabts of yr NSR 150 SP
that was really a lovely 2 stroker
IF I am right , the horsepower was abt 38 bhp for the THAi version OR maybe 30 bhp for a detuned bike ?

Well Dipen, i exchanged my NSR 150 SP for the CBR 400 and the balance paid in cash. The condition of the bike was very bad which was one reason why i had to get rid of it. The person whom i sold (or exchanged) the bike then sold it to some guy in Hyd. Currently i have no track of the bike.
Yes, the bike was a Thai version. The company claims 39 bhp but the professionals who have tested the bike say that the bhp is somewhere between 29-34. As you mentioned it is a very good two stroke bike (probably one of the best).
