My condolences to those involved. That was very unfortunate.

Ford has a reputation for safety?! The Explorer springs to mind here. And the Ikon's lovely brakes have a reputation, leading to this and many other accidents...

Like Gordon said, did the car catch fire? Because the pics aren't large enough to see if that dull colour is the paint.

My sincere condolence who lost their life in this horrific accident,

Looking at the pics it seems they must be doing more than 140Kph on expressway, tyre burst might have occured and the driver lost control, car must have rolled down and hit some spot,
but this is my imagination only ,a eye witness could only tell what exactly would have happened.

Hey sparco can u repost pics for a larger view? It seems after uploading u have not copied proper shortcut,

horrible i hate all the cars(makers) who charge us for everything nonsense and forget a car must be more safer rather than giving prior importance to leather seats and stuff.a similar accident (drunk or not drunk) in a foreign country (cars) would not yield same results atleast casualties. eg. take the pricing of lxi and zxi models of maruthi, difference is in security of both the passengers zxi may get airbags while lxi doesnt, may be they will suffer some loss but customer satisfaction is a must and if u forget compromisation do u all think u are happy and feel safe when u are driving on highways that ur car is very safe for u and ur family hence my friends all i want to say is emphasise on the need for safety rather than the comforts.all i would would want is to see a car compete on safety standards of amby(amby doesnt have any of the hitech safety devices) but still our netas feel they are the most secure in those.

Do you have bigger pictures?! The pictures were always showing, but most expected much larger images.

Why don't they set up speed cameras where they should?!? Install them on the Expressway and make strict rules for them. And for everyone's sake, NO BRIBES!!!!
