This was a few years back when i was still in cape town, driving my M3. Now back then in Cape Tow the big rivals are the twincam toyota's and the Honda DOHC's and the Opel Kadet 200is. They had a top speed of about 200-210 km/h.

Well it was a late saturday night and normaly there would always be some or the other street race happening on the M5 our suburb highway. So i was driving from town on my way home at about 1am. I was racing down the highway when i saw these two cars in the distance head on head. I like the big bully came from behind them on what was on my clock 245km/h, i flashed for them to give way, passed them. It was a Toyota corrola twincam and Honda Civic. I blinked my hazard signals and left them behind.
That was the best feeling i had with that car.

M3 is quite stable even at 270 on the clock. I did need a spoiler tho for a bit more down force. 235/40/17 are a lot of grip. It didnt have traction control so it was a real tail happy character around fast corners. In the rain u dont play around. I could gear from second into third and get the tail out in the wet.

Wow 245 kmph!! thats just some sorta dream here...the only place i think @ which 245kmph can be achieved here is the expressway ...but then again the machine has to be that good! the stock cars here r good only till around 190 kmph to 200 kmph at to with lot of effort.only car available here i think is the sl 500 which does abt 250 kmph.

On the expressway sky is the limit, but really i think driving thru traffic at 160 and 170 is still more exciting. Straight line speed is for anyone who can change gears, manoevering and cornering is what makes real drivers. Then on the flip side we those drivers also have a better chance of going to heaven earlier.:( But really its loads of fun, right?

C'mon GTO C-class has a top whack of abt 220 kmph(C200 K) and the regular C200 has a top whack of abt 205kmph...your speedo is just Optimistic . BTW the new V6 Accord seems to have a top speed of abt 230 kmph thats what the company claims.
My personal best is 160 kmph in a Honda City

Hey SAM r u doing MBBS?

Yes i am doing MBBS, I shud have been done by now, but the surgery examiner at my practicals didnt think so. With my Ikon ive reached 190 km/h on the speedo with 3 ppl in the car. What the true speed is, is beyond me, but that shud be over the tested 175 km/h.
